SEWERAGE TREATMENT PROCESS:-

The Septic tank is an individual septic tank (IST), consisting of two chambers in one tank,
that are septic / separation chamber, and anaerobic filter chamber.
The septic chamber works as setting tank with hydraulic detention time more than 24 hours
which is adequate for a complete bacteria decomposition process. Filter chamber with
plastic filter media acts as optimum bed for the growth of anaerobic bacteria. It also acts as
filter system for the removal of suspended solids from the effluent.

The septic tank is a built unit, lightweight and easy to install. It needs very minimum space
and is used to treat domestic waste water. Quality of effluent discharges from PS-15 Septic
Tank is of standard B based on the Environment Quality (Sewage and Industrial Effluents)
Regulation 1979.
