1. Intramembranous ossification
• fibrous membranes of some part of fetal
skeleton are converted to bone.
Ex. Some skull bone, clavicle, and lower jaw
2. Endochondral ossification
- conversion of cartilage into bone.
Ex. Most bones of the skeletal system
