BOYLE’S LAW

1. BREATHING
-When breathing, our lungs utilize Boyle's law. When inhaled, the lungs are filled with air.
Therefore, they expand. As the volume increases, the pressure level decreases. Similarly,
when the air contracts, the lungs contract. Therefore, the volume decreases and the
pressure increases. Pressure and volume changes are short-term and periodic
2. SPRAY PAINT
-Spray paint works according to Boyle's law. Dye molecules put considerable pressure on
the body of the can in which they are contained. By pressing the lid of the can, the volume
of the can is reduced and the paint is discharged with great pressure. Since pressure is
inversely proportional to volume, we can see that Boyle's law is actually working.
3. SODA BOTTLE
-A soda bottle filled with a mixture of carbon dioxide and water is one of the best examples
to demonstrate Boyle's law. Closing a beverage can or bottle makes it difficult to compress.
This is because the air molecules inside the container are so tightly packed that there is no
room for them to move. When you open a can or bottle, some of the air molecules escape,
creating space for the air molecules to move and compress the bottle. Here you can clearly
observe the change in pressure in response to the change in volume.
