JOB PURPOSE
The Head of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for planning, development
and implementation of all of the Organization’s sales and marketing strategies,
communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.
The incumbent will also act as a brand ambassador and will be responsible for
domestic sales of Metropol Corporation products to both new and existing
Subscribers and Data Providers.
REPORTS TO
Group Managing Director
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Internal – Management Board, Sales and marketing team, IT department team,
all staff in DQM/CRM and CIS department
Define and pursue achievement of monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
and objectives.
Develop, drive, integrate and support the sales strategy and its execution.
Define and pursue achievement of monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
and objectives.
Manage the planning, budgeting and forecasting process of the department’s
spend, providing regular reporting to the senior management.
Continually monitor the effectiveness of the sales strategy and planned
activities, providing and seeking feedback on the quality of delivery and
suggesting/implementing corrective action where appropriate.
Develop, actively manage and drive the sales pipeline for new and existing
business.
Develop strategies and identify opportunities to cross-sell / up-sell to existing
clients.
Prepare regular reports and analysis of key account activities, with detailed
analysis across segments and categories.
Monitor competitor activity enabling greater competition awareness and analysis
and advising the business.
Initiate research to provide insights into target markets with an aim of product
development and enhancement to address changing and emerging market
trends and identify growth opportunities.
Maintain aggressive and sustained pursuit of business prospects in order to
achieve new and renewal business targets.
MARKETING
Responsible for marketing campaigns and for defining sales and promotion
strategies.
Analyzing Consumer markets
Developing and targeting market segments
Setting product and pricing strategy
Designing and managing marketing services
Developing marketing channels and networks
Introducing new market offerings
Manage retail networks
Designing and managing marketing services
Develop service components for each product.
Determine break even points for each product
Create a mechanism to track market prices from competition
Manage the New Product Development process.
Coordinate and participate in promotional activities, trade shows, seminars,
forums and other events,
Work closely with the Revenue teams in supporting their efforts through
advertising, promotional activities and other marketing initiatives.
Manage the Marketing Department budget and deliver all marketing activity
within set budget.
Oversee all events, both internal and external.
Develop and implement a digital strategy,
Drive lead generation to support brand and revenue generation.
Develop Marketing Dashboard and track performance against defined marketing
metrics
