According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system for providing a clinic manager
service platform includes: a customer terminal processing reservation, reception, consultation and
payment, which are necessary for medical treatment, by using a clinic manager service platform, and
1 receiving a medical record and a prescription by requesting the issue of the same; a hospital terminal
recording the treatment information and the prescription and recording details of warehoused and
released treatment medicines and hospital supplies by using the clinic manager service platform; and
a clinic manager integrated management server providing feedback information about the
information requested by the customer terminal to the customer terminal, and providing a customized
marketing service in accordance with the stock status of the treatment medicines and the hospital
supplies, the working status management of hospital employees, education management and
prescription records of existing customers. Therefore, the present invention is capable of minimizing
a waste of time for customers visiting a hospital.

Clinic Management System is developed to support the clinic daily operation before this is done
manually. This system will involve all the clinic operation starting from patient registration until
billing the patient. The important thing is it will become easier for the data record and retrieval. This
system will be able to generate report regarding the clinic operation. For example, the number of
patient per day and total collection per day. This system is able to check the inventory for the
medicine in the clinic. The target user for this system is staff of the clinic, doctor and also the
management. Prototyping approach is applied while developing this system. This will involve an
1 iterative process to make this system is usable and easy to use by the user. The design for the system
is using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach. The design will involve entity
relationship diagram (ERD) and Data Flow Diagram (DFD) to show the logical flow for the system.
For the implementation, Apache is used as a web server, MySql as a database, PHP as a scripting
language and internet explorer as a browser. The main important while developing any system is to
make the system usable. Evaluation is conduct with the Poliklinik Keluarga in Kota Tinggi, Johor.
The doctor and staff give their evaluation and also opinion to make the system more usable for the
clinic daily operation. Overall this system is able to support the daily clinic operation based on
evaluation from real user and the system is able to perform the task correctly.

This study was carried out to design and introduce the use of an automated clinic record management
system and has chosen Ahmadu Bello University Sick-bay as the case study for the first
implementation with the aim of improving their services especially in this digital era. A qualitative
2 research was adopted and the instrument used for the study are interview, observation and
questionnaire where some questions were raised by the researcher such as, what are the challenges
associated with the use of the current manual record management system in the Ahmadu Bello
University Sick-bay? How to improve on the current manual record managements system to
minimize human error in the process of the records? How to improve on the current manual time
management among the staff of the clinic? And how to provide more privacy to patients’ records and
information in the clinic? Fifteen (15) respondents were randomly chosen from both the clients and
staff of the clinic. And at the end of the research, the findings were analyzed which led to the
designing of the aforementioned system. And in order to design the programme, the researcher uses
some web development tools such as; Adobe Dreamweaver and Notepad Plus Plus for the required
coding; hypertext preprocessor (PHP) and Java scripts (JS) to connect the interfaces to the database;
and My-SQL was used to design the databases that store the overall system data. Finally; summary,
conclusion and suggestion were given on the problems associated with the manual method of record
keeping such as difficulties in sorting,
retrieving and updating records, lack of security of records, loss of relevant information and so on, it
was also suggested that the implementation of this programme will help in improving the
effectiveness and efficiency in our clinics.

This project is a clinic management system that will be used to solve the current problems that facing
by the local clinic in Malaysia. Clinic Management System is a web-based platform system. The
main objectives of this project is to improve the business process of the clinic in Malaysia by using
the information technology and also enhance the current clinic management software in the market.
The scope of this project include systematic scheduling in queue list, appointment module with SMS
notification, patient’s registration using MyKad reader and generate medical certificate (MC) to
printout. Systematic scheduling can sort the patient in the queue fairly and display the waiting time of
each patient. Patient can make appointment and notification will be send to their phone. Besides,
patient can use MyKad during the registration at the counter which is quite convenient and save time.

Other than that, MC can be generated and print out on the paper and doctor just need to sign the MC
and chop with his name. As this is a web-based platform system, C# is the programming language
and the project is developed under ASP.Net framework. The software development methodology that
used in this project is phased development because of fast implementation and short time schedule.
The clinic management system can divide into few phases and each phase consist of few modules
which can easily develop and build up the system in short time
