Striving for The Clean Energy Transition

A. Event Description
IPCONVEX 2022 (Integrated Petroleum Convention and Exhibition 2022)
is a grand webinar as the culmination of the IPFEST 2022 series of events. This
event aims to connect professionals, experts, and academics to share
knowledge and insights related to engineering and the world of petroleum to
webinar participants. IPCONVEX 2022’s main theme is “Decisive Strategies
Towards an Augmented Future of Oil and Gas”. This main theme consists of
three topics which will be divided into two subtopics for each topic.

Objectives from this session are to provide webinar participants:
1. World clean energy condition at this time
2. The method used in clean energy transition
3. Targets in the clean energy transition
4. Condition of oil and gas companies in the midst of clean energy transition

Main Idea Explanation

World clean energy condition at Based on the Paris agreement and SDG7,
this time it has been agreed to reduce carbon
 emissions and ensure clean energy,
therefore we want to know:
1. What is the current state of clean
energy in the world?
2. How big is the potential for clean
energy that is currently available?
3. How is the development of clean
energy technology today?

The method used in clean energy Achieving SDG 7 and the Paris
transition Agreement requires a transition from
fossil energy to clean energy, therefore
we want to know:
1. What methods can be applied to
achieve the clean energy
transition and how will they be
financed?
2. What obstacles were encountered
and what methods were used to
overcome them? whether the
method can solve the problem
correctly and efficiently?
3. What are the future challenges in
the clean energy transition and
how to address them?

Targets in the clean energy In achieving something it takes a target

transition so that its development has direction
and purpose, therefore we want to
know:
1. What are the short, medium, and
long-term goals in the future
clean energy transition, and what
are the strategies for dealing with
them?

Condition of oil and gas Fossil energy is a major contributor to

companies in the midst of clean the world's carbon generation in the
energy transition
midst of a carbon-free energy transition.
Oil and gas companies are the ones that
produce fossil energy, therefore we want
to know:
1. What are the challenges and
opportunities of the oil and gas
company in the midst of the
transition to clean energy, and
what are the strategies to deal
with them?
F. General Guideline
1. This event aims to give an explanation about the decisive strategies towards
an augmented future of oil and gas
2. The committee will provide memento of appreciation for speakers
3. Each speaker will be accompanied by Liaison Officer(s) 
4. Please provide the presentation material before the event
5. If needed, the committees could help sharing the presentation screen
during the webinar
6. Please be on time for the presentation session
7. The speaker’s presentation session will be conducted at 14.30 - 15.10 WIB

IPCONVEX will be conducted virtually using Zoom Meeting.

I. Target Audience
Audiences are expected to be youth within the range of 16 to 25 years old,
specifically university students.

This event is organized by the committee of IPFEST 2022 under the supervision
of Society of Petroleum Engineers ITB Student Chapter (SPE ITB SC), Ikatan Ahli
Teknik Perminyakan Indonesia Seksi Mahasiswa ITB (IATMI SM ITB), and
Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Perminyakan “PATRA” ITB (HMTM “PATRA” ITB).
