ACCTSYS - MODULE 1 ACTIVITIES

 Within the value chain of an organization there are five primary activities and four support
activities. Describe how an accounting information system fits into the value chain of an
organization. Where does it add value?
Accounting Information Systems serves as a tool for the collection, storing and process
financial and nonfinancial transactions. It makes the processes and activities in the value chain
of the organization faster and more reliable to be able to provide better service and quality to the
management and customers. Accounting information systems adds value to the organization in
the sense that it improves the quality while reducing the costs of its product and services,
improves efficiency and effectiveness, and improves decision making and control.
