With the use of the internet please search one (1) trivia about the life of Jose Rizal. Then check
the source and explain if the trivia is reliable or not.

There are three species of animals that was named after Jose Rizal which includes
Rhacophorus rizali, Draco rizali and Apogonia rizali. This trivia about Rizal was on an article
written by the GMA News and was published on June 19, 2018 which makes the information a
reliable one.

D2: The Song of the Wanderer

> Describe Rizal as a traveler based on the poem that you just read

After reading the poem written by Jose Rizal, I could describe him as a type of traveler who
struggles and feels lonely from being away from his homeland. He faced a lot of obstacles
during his travels but tried to overcome it along the way.

D3: Rizal’s Journey

In 2-3 sentences, please explain the importance of Rizal's travel in Europe.
The importance of Rizal’s travel in Europe is that it enabled him to have a wider perspective into
learning and accepting the different cultures that different European countries has to offer. He
met and interacted with a lot of people during his travels in the continent and was able to create
a universal brotherhood with them.

D4: Dapitan
Please enumerate three (3) things Rizal did in Dapitan that you think contributory to his
becoming a hero.
1. Jose Rizal conceptualized and implemented plans for the betterment of the locality of Talisay
when he became a community leader there.
2. He opened schools for young boys and taught them sports.
3. He helped the farmers and fishermen in improving their farming and fishing methods.
D5: To Become a Hero
Do you really need to die to become a hero? If your answer is NO, then enumerate 3 things that
you can do to become a hero without dying.

No, death is not necessary to become a hero. Some of the actions that can be done to be
considered as a hero includes serving the society with a great intention for its betterment,
creating an impact to fellow countrymen that caused them to be inspired and speaking up for
the needs of the people, especially the poor and the oppressed.

D6: What I Understand

In not more than 3 sentences, explain this quotation based on what you've understood from our
previous topics:

Admiring Jose Rizal just because he is entitled as a national hero or because he has a lot of
achievements during his lifetime, is not enough. We must understand why did he become such
and why did he do such actions for us to fully appreciate and be inspired by him.
