CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTIONS

CONCLUSION

From this company visit we gained a lot of theoretical and practical knowledge which
will surely benefit us for our future. We physically got to know how a crackers manufacturing
unit actually works in the real world which we used to understand by the way of listening in the
classroom and people in the outside environment. Sri Kaliswari Fireworks Private Limited
Company is a well organized and also a systematic company with 5088 workmen. Company has
a separate department of ‘production and quality control’ along with a manager, 15 office
workers and 4 quality managers at the workplace. We observed that both the EOQ and EPQ
models aim to minimize costs in an organization by keeping control of inventory. The target is to
optimize inventory utilization so that money does not get blocked in excess inventory. Also, the
company should not face a shortage of inventory due to which production and other processes
get hampered.And by decision theory we learnt that it is a Structure of logical and mathematical
concepts which is intended to assist managers to formulate rules that may lead to a most
beneficial course of action under the given circumstances.

SUGGESTIONS

● We suggest the company to categorize the inventory into priority groups, which can help
the managers to understand which items they need to order more of and more frequently,
and which are important to business
● The company should make sure to keep records of the product information for items in
the inventory
● We suggest the company to make a comprehensive audit over the inventory
● The company should make sure all staff that receives stock does it the same way, and
that all boxes are verified, received and unpacked together, accurately counted, and
checked for accuracy.
● We suggest the company to invest in Inventory management technology to make a proper
management over the inventory
