Description:
(History) Music has been known to humans since the time of Homo sapiens about 180,000 to
100,000 years ago. In the early 20th century, music was taken for granted. Where the tone of
music is characterized by the regularity of its vibrations. The uniformity gave him a steady
pitch and distinguished his voice from noise. In the book History of Music and Appreciation
in Asia (2012) by Sila Widyatama, music is the appreciation of the human heart which is
expressed in the form of regular sounds with melodies or rhythms and has beautiful elements
or harmony. The term music is known from the Greek word "music".
Music comes from the words muse-muse, namely the nine Greek gods under the god Apollo
who protected the arts and sciences. In Ancient Greek methodology it means a beauty that
comes from the generosity of the gods which is manifested as talent. Then the understanding
was confirmed by Okel Pythagoras, that music is not just a gift (talent) from the gods, but
music occurs because of human reason in forming theories. Pythagoras, who was the first
musical numerologist and laid the foundation for acoustics. In acoustics the Greeks discovered
a correspondence between note pitch and string length.
(Element of Music) Music elements consist of several groups that together form a single unit
to form a song or musical composition. They are: harmony, rhythm, melody, song structure,

A TRIP TO LANGKUIK TINGGI WATERFALL
(Orientation)
Last week, at the end of the month, I and my friends decided to spend our holiday at Langkuik
Tinggi Waterfall, which located around 44,3 kilometers from Maninjau
(Record of Event)
When we arrived at the waterfall, we were surprised to see the beautiful view of the its. After
having swim in the water, which was really cold and little rainy, we realized that there were
not many people there. We thought that it happened because it was rainy there during that
time but we finally realized that it was Saturday Night, many of people spend their time with
family
After spending few times swimming in the waterfall, we ate our supllies, I and my friend
brought rice with some side dishes for lunch. And after lunch, we decided to swim again for a
while, and then prepared to get out from the waterfall.
When we got outside the waterfall area, we cleaned our bodies and changed dry clothes in the
public toilet.
(Reorientation)
At 5 pm, we decided to go home. When we finally made it back home, we were totally
exhausted because of the trip but we were so happy to travel such an amazing waterfall

An Unforgettable Moment in My Life
Orientation
One time, I was too tired to participate in activities at campus. As soon as I got home I
immediately lay down and fell asleep.
Complication
Apparently I slept very well. Maybe because of exhaustion. I see the day is very bright. I took
a quick shower then put on my school clothes. I don't want to be late for school again. My
father and mother were surprised to see me. Maybe because I look very busy.
Evaluation
When everything was ready and I had put on my school shoes, my mother asked me where
would I go? So I said of course I would go to school. Suddenly my mother burst out laughing.
Then he said, "You think it's morning? Now it's evening, it's going to be dusk!"
Resolution
Geez, I guess I woke up late this morning. Apparently it was still late. I laughed with
annoyance.
