Cumulatively compound DC generator is the generator in which both the series and the shunt
fields were used, connected so that magneto motive forces from two fields are additive. The
dissimilarity between the two compound generators shows that in differential compound
generator, the magnitude of the total flux is the difference of the individual flux that is produced
Moreover, the magnitude of the total flux in a cumulatively compound DC generator is the sum
of the individual flux that is produced by the series and shunt field coils.
CONCLUSION:
Based on this activity, we studied on how to be aware of certain parameters used to measure in
this performance. We concluded many important relations among these certain parameters such
as we increase the armature current the load voltage decreases gradually thus no load condition
value of terminal voltage is higher than the full load condition. Also, we learned how to take
an appropriate measurements while changing one of the parameters and noticing the effect on
the others. Based on the results in this activity the cumulative compound DC generator has the
lowest percentage. Meanwhile, basing on the data and results we gathered this shows that the
cumulative compound DC generator is the most convenient to use for it has the lowest value.
