Warrior Families,

As the first quarter comes to an end, we would like to take this opportunity to remind our students and families
about some of our important school expectations. In an effort to keep our students and staff members safe, our
administrative team has been working diligently to monitor the campus before, during, and after the school day.
Our administration is providing additional announcements to all students with reminders of our school policies and
consequences for not following the expectations. Please take a minute to discuss these reminders with your
student(s) so we can work together to allow our faculty and staff to provide a better educational experience in the
classroom.

School Start Time:

School begins at 7:30 am and students who are not in their first period classroom by the 7:30 am bell will be
marked tardy. At the start of the year, we attempted to provide an adjustment period and some leniency with the
first ten minutes of the day. As we approach the end of the first quarter, we need all students to be in the classroom
at 7:30 am. Consequences for tardies are outlined in our Warrior 5 expectations.
Transportation:
Students are not permitted to be dropped off on Toney Penna Drive in the morning due to serious safety concerns.
Additionally, students are not permitted to be picked up in the Palm Beach County Library across the street in the
afternoons. Jupiter Police Department will be monitoring this student safety issue.
Testing:
Tuesday, October 5, we are giving the A.C.T. on campus for our juniors and seniors who have not passed the FSA
yet. This is a great opportunity for our students to earn a concordant score for graduation. There is no make-up day
for the A.C.T.
1st Quarter End:
The first quarter will end on October 14, 2021. Please remind students that all grades for the nine weeks must be
reconciled before this date.
TikTok Challenges:
As the School District has previously informed parents, students have participated in dangerous social media
challenges on TikTok that have caused costly damages to campuses. We have been informed that each month has a
new challenge and next month includes slapping a staff member. Please be aware that any student participating in
this challenge will face immediate and severe consequences, including suspension and criminal charges.
COVID Update:
We had 7 individuals test positive for Covid this week.

Thank you for your continued support in helping make Jupiter High School a great place to learn.
