The Special Education Program the Division is primarily tasked with creating policies,
plans, and programs for the preparation of educational materials and evaluation of

Question: How can Child Find be successful, walk us in the process of child find
as mentioned in this video.

To assist disabled children with their educational needs, a law was created. Each state
and its public schools must establish policies and procedures for identifying these
children. A school district, charter, or LEA will employ the child find process to identify,
hunt down, and evaluate any children who require special education and other related
services. The child discovers that the focus is on training, not only for the principal or
campus management, but for everyone; teachers, cafeteria staff, and other members of
staff need to be trained to assist those individuals.

Question: What is the process of Initial Evaluations of the child “at risk”? Who
are the people involved in this process?

IDEA, or the Initial Evaluation for Developmental Assessment, helps parents learn more
about their children. The next step is to determine the needs of the child because, or
else, how would they educate them, Therefore, we must give parents and children our
whole attention. The people who are with the child during this process are those who
are at risk for the child as well as those who can take place for the child to be evaluated
in special education, such as the teachers, parents, or the school district. The initial
assessment is important for the parents as well because it informs them of their child's
status as an individual.

C. Watch this video: Accommodations and Modifications for Students with Disabilities
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0xdaCEqrU0
Question: Explain the Accommodations and Modifications given to students with
special needs.

For students with special needs to thrive, accommodations and adjustments must be
made. Accommodations alter how students access information, engage in school
activities, and demonstrate their learning, whereas modifications alter how students
demonstrate what is being taught or what they are expected to learn through the
curriculum. If you are a teacher and you provide a spelling activity while the other
students complete their spelling assignments, this is an example of how the curriculum
has been modified. One child will focus on words and meanings.

Relationships https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF-Ns6Gkhho
Question: How do you plan to build a positive relationship with the parents of
your future students

A teacher needs to be more patient and mature to develop a good rapport with the
parents of special education children. Even though fulfilling your duties as a teacher of
special needs children might be challenging, there are several tactics that can help us
establish positive rapport with parents, such as asking the parents of your students for
knowledge or information because doing so will make you aware of their child's conduct.
Being professional is important in this situation as well since we may establish positive
relationships with them and the parents by acting professionally and maintaining a
professional image. Create a welcoming environment for your students and their
parents last.
