PART I- INTRODUCTION

Rationale

The CHED Memorandum Order 25 series of 2015 (CMO

#25 s. 2015), section 8.3 states that, “ On- the-Job-Training is an
immersion program wherein the students will have the chance
and opportunity to be with the IT industry. This program is
important because the students will have the chance to apply the
skills, knowledge and attitudes learned in the school and at the
same time the opportunity to experience the corporate
environment.

Learning expectations in the IT related field should be

established between the HEI and the industry in the form of
Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). On-The-Job Training is a
requirement for BSCS, BSIT and BSIS program. Students are
eligible to enroll the OJT program after completing 70% of the
total number of units in the curriculum. The minimum number of
internship hours for the BSIT and BSIS programs is 486 hours and
162 hours for the BSCS program.”

To attain the objectives of the program, this On-the-Job

Training (OJT) Manual has been developed. It covers guidelines for
Philippine College of Science and Technology offering Information
Technology Education (ITE) programs, cooperating agencies,
trainees, OJT coordinators and supervisors in implementing the
OJT of students.
