Required book: Netnography: Doing Ethnographic Research Online

• First 30 minutes – read the first chapter assigned

to you (including note taking)

• 10 minutes – break 1 (avoid using your mobile

phone)

• Second 30 minutes – read the second chapter

assigned to you (including note taking)

• 5 minutes – break 2

• Last 15 minutes – finalize your reading and notes

Questions for the Midterm Exam:

• What is the main purpose of the chapter/s?

• What is the author trying to prove?

• What kind of evidence does the author’s give to back up his

statements? e.g. statistics, quotes from experts, examples,
anecdotes?

• What conclusions does the author’s reach?

• Bonus question: share your experience on using Pomodoro.

Midterm Exam Requirements:

• Your presentation should have 5 to 6 Powerpoint slides per

chapter (max 7 PPT).

• Between 7 to 8 mins presentation only per student. 5 minutes is

the most acceptable length to present the 2 chapters.

• Video record your presentation. Present the video during the

exam schedule.

• Please submit the PPT slides or video recording after your

presentation in Animospace – see Assignment section look for
Midterm submission folder. [Individual submission]

• If necessary there will be follow-up questions from the

professor.
