There is a hymn called “Whenever the Sun
Sets”. The lyric is written in conversation
format.

有一首诗歌名叫《每当日暮黄昏》，歌词是用对答
的形式写的：

“Whenever the Sun Sets”

Whenever the sun sets, do you remember me in your

prayer to the Father?
I need help every day, which I pray. Do you
remember me in prayer?
Do you intercede for me? I need the love of my Lord
and being looked after by Him.
As I pray, I surely intercede for you; in the
soft voice, I certainly mention your name in
my intercession.

The Third Wish

The lyrics is a reminder that each of us needs the
Lord’s loving care. Through prayer we draw strength
from the Lord. Not only do we pray for ourselves, but
also for others. This is the focus of the third wish,
which also brings us to the “three pleas” in the Lord’s
prayer.

《每当日暮黄昏》
每当日暮黄昏，你祷告父神，有否将我惦记？
我每日需帮助，如此我祷告，有否将我
惦记？
当你求，有否为我求，因我要主慈爱看顾，
当我求，必定为你求，必定微声提你名
代求。
第三愿
歌词提醒我们每人都需要主慈爱看顾，所以要
透过祷告来向主支取力量。我们不但自己要祷
告，更要为别人祷告。这便是第三愿的焦点，
也把我们带进去主祷文的 “三求 ＂。

Conclusion
In daily living, the third wish requires us to seek God’s will and live it out. One
reason for the shallow spiritual lives of today’s believers is that we do not
know the will of God and do not seek them.

Looking back, whether it was Jesus, Peter, Paul and God’s faithful servants
throughout history, they were very clear about their callings and God’s will for
them and they pressed onward the goal.

Remember the urge of Paul, “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand

what the will of the Lord is.” (Eph 5:17)

Our problem today is our reluctance to understand, to obey, to seek and draw
strength from prayer! There is so much more that we need to understand and
practise the third wish: “Your Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven”!

总结
在生活操练中，第三愿要求我们去寻求神的旨意并行出来。今天信徒灵命肤
浅的一个原因是我们跟本不认识神的旨意，也不去寻求。
反观，无论是主耶稣、彼得、保罗和历世历代神的忠仆都对神的呼召和旨意
十分清楚并全力以赴的向着标杆直奔。
要记得保罗的呼吁：“不要作糊涂人，要明白主的旨意如何。”(弗5:17)
我们今天的毛病是不去认识，不愿遵行和不在祷告中寻求和支取力量！我们
何等需要明白和操练第三愿：愿祢的旨意行在地上，如同行天上！
