Now we come to the last sentence of the Lord’ s
Prayer: “For yours is the kingdom and the
power and the glory, forever. Amen”, which
ends the prayer with a praise and resolution.

现在我们来到主祷文的最后一句： “ 因为国度、权
柄、荣耀全是祢的，直到永远，阿门＂以颂赞和立
志结束祷告。

“For yours is the kingdom and the power

and the glory, forever. Amen”
Whether this sentence is part of the original
prayer is controversial. In Luke, this
sentence is omitted. In the Chinese Union
Version, the footnote states that this
sentence is absent in some manuscripts. In
the New International Version (NIV), this
sentence is placed in the footnote instead.
Most modern theologists agree that this
sentence was added by the scribes who
copied scriptures. The reason is probably
because believers of the early churches
would recite the Lord’s Prayer in their
worship services, and the congregation or
the prayer leaders would respond with “For
yours is the kingdom and the power and the
glory, forever. Amen” at the end of the
service. Since this response fits so well with
the essence of the Lord’s Prayer, churches
throughout the ages have adopted this
sentence as the end of the Lord’s Prayer.

的，直到永远，阿门＂
但关于这一句是否主祷文原来的一部份却备
受争议。路加福音的版本中并没有最后这一
句，加上和合本的注释中注明有古卷无此
句，英文的NIV 圣经更直接把这一句挪到注
脚中。现代的学者大多都之认同，这句话是
后来抄写经文的文士加上去，原因很可能是
因为初期教会聚会时都会背诵主祷文，而在
结束时，会众或领祷者会以 “因为国度、权
柄、荣耀全是祢的，直到永远，阿门”来回
应。纵然如此，因为这一句回应与主祷文的
精神配合得丝丝入扣，历世历代的教会大都

"For...The Kingdom"
“For…” as a connecting word tells us a very
important reason and direction of the
prayer. Are we not praying for His Holy
name be honored, His kingdom come and
His will be done on earth? If kingdom,
power and glory all belong to God then He
surely cares for our requests. Therefore,
we can trust and depend on God’s
provision, protection and help (the Three
pleas in the Lord’s Prayer).

Since “the kingdom”, “the power” and “the

glory” all belong to God, what we seek is no
longer the expansion of our personal
cause but that of His kingdom. Not for
more power but for God to rule over our
lives completely.

因为 … ”这一个连接词直接把祷告的一个
“
重要原因和方向告诉我们。 我们不是在
祈求神的名被尊为圣、神的国降临和神旨
意行在地上吗？如果国度、权柄和荣耀都
是神的，我们的所求，祂哪那会不关心，
因此我们能相信并倚赖神的供应、保守与
帮助 (主祷文的三求)。
正因为 “ 国度＂、 “ 权柄 ” 和 “ 荣耀 ” 都是神
的，所以我们追求的不再是扩展我个人的
事业，而是神的国度，不再追求更多的权
柄，而是我的生命完全由神来掌权，不是
我的荣耀，而是神得尊崇。

Praise & Resolution

Since “the kingdom”, “the power” and “the glory” all belong to God, what we
seek is no longer the expansion of our personal cause but that of His
kingdom. Not for more power but for God to rule over our lives completely.

“Forever” reminds us that our Lord’s kingdom, power and glory is eternally
His.
God is in control, forever. Therefore, no one, no power or no circumstance
can separate us from the love of Christ (Ro 8:37-39). He certainly provides,
forgives and protects!

The literal translation for “Amen” is “sincerely wish”. Our prayer, plea and
wishes all come straight from the heart. In true faith we pray to claim all the
abundant promises of God and these are realized in Christ. It is through
Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory. (2Co 1:20)

“直到永远” 提醒我们主的国度、权柄和荣耀是永远属楀于神，不是有
一天会落在神的手中，而是从未离开过神的手中。祂一直在掌权，因
此，没有任何人、权柄或景遇可以使我们与基督的爱分离 ( 罗 8:37-
39)。既是如此，祂必赐下供应、赦罪和保守！

“阿门＂直接翻译出来的意思就是“诚心所愿”。我的祷告、祈求和所愿
望的都是直真诚的出自内心，并凭真诚的信心以祷告来支取一切丰盛
的应许。因为神的应许，不论有多少，在基督都是是的。所以藉着他
也都是实在（实在：原文是阿们）的，叫神因我们得荣耀。(林后1:20)

Conclusion
Lastly, I hope you can adopt the Lord’s Prayer as a weekly prayer cycle. Pray
unceasingly; work as we pray, and pray as we work.

Monday Pray for the salvation of unbelievers. (Your Holy name be

honored)
Tuesday Pray for the mission field. (Your kingdom come)
Wednesday Pray for pastoral workers and the authorities. (Your will be
done on earth)
Thursday Pray for the needs of yourself and others. (Give us this day
our daily bread)
Friday Confess and repent of the sin you have committed against
God; pray for strength and courage to reconcile with others.
(Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors)
Saturday Admit your personal weaknesses and pray for His protection.
(Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil)
Sunday Count the Lord’s blessing, praise and give thanks to the Lord.
(For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory,
forever)

总结
到最后我望大家可以把主祷文化为一周祷告的循环，不住祷告，使我
们成为祷告中的行动者、行㣔动中的祷告者。
周一 为未信者的得救祷告 (愿人尊祢的名为圣)
周二 为宣教工场祷告 (愿祢的国降临)
周三 为教牧和执政的祷告 (愿祢的旨意行在地上)
周四 为自己和别人的需要祷告 (赐我日用的饮食)
周五 为自己得罪神的地方认罪悔改，求主赐你与人和好的力量和
勇气 (免我们的债，如我们免 了人的债)
周六 承认自己的软弱，求主保守 (不叫们遇试探，救我们脱离凶恶)
主日 数算主恩、感谢赞美 (因为国度、权柄和荣耀全是祢的)
