YOUR EVALUATION SHOULD COVER THE FOLLOWING:

o How do your two artworks communicate a connection with the

Global Context for this UOW?

Both of my two artworks communicate Identity and relationships

since my aboriginal artwork displays the identity of traditional
indigenous Australian’s artworks with the techniques, dot
painting. In the Islamic artwork we created intricate designs using
sophisticated techniques of Islamic artworks whilst also
incorporating the skills and techniques of aboriginal artwork dot
painting exhibiting the relationship between the two different
cultures/ identities.

o Describe the concept (idea) that is communicated by your

artworks? & What elements of your artworks best portray your
concept?

In my aboriginal artwork I tried to communicate thee journey

between my home to school kind of like a dreamtime story since I
am showing the story/journey of my home to school using dot
painting. My Islamic studies artwork is to communicate my
religion and my religions origins as well as my beliefs with the
techniques I used.
o How did you decided upon the final design of your artworks
(drawing).

I decided upon my final designs after thorough researching and

through a process of various designs then picking my final designs
after.

o Identify 3 things these artmaking tasks taught you about art

and identity.

- Picking places between my house and my school

- Dot painting

- Videos of the traditional artworks

o What was the most difficult aspect of these artmaking/draw

tasks?

The most difficult aspect of making my artworks was the dot

painting since it was very time consuming.

o Do you think your final artworks are successful in

communicating the theme of art and identity? Why/Why not?

I believe that my final artworks successfully communicated since

there was a great use of the techniques used in traditional
artworks and it these techniques displayed are very prominent
throughout the artwork.

o Name 1 thing you would change in your artwork/s if you were

to do them again?

1 thing that I would change in my artwork is the way that I drew

the artwork since my circular shapes weren’t really done well.
o How the global context (identities and relationship assist you
to develop your artwork

The global context assisted me to develop my artwork by

displaying the connection I used dot painting as a way to draw the
Islamic sophisticated shapes and patterns within my artwork.
