Criteria D

1. What part of your artwork (perspective drawing) are you most happy with? WHY?
I am most happy with the 3rd one point perspective artwork. Since the shading on this
artwork is much better compared to the other 1 point and 2-point perspective drawings
moreover there was more room for creativity given since we were able to choose what we
wanted to draw. In this artwork I was most happy with the road. The roads shading and
lining really gave the feel of there being a road which is what I was looking for.

2. What do you think you should change about your artwork? WHY?
I think the thing in which I could change my artwork is the types of buildings I have added
since I feel as though the buildings aren’t really continuous. They seem a bit out of place
with the setting. They also could have been more unique styles of buildings.

3. Do you think you managed to show the art element-Tone /perspective in your artwork?
WHY?
Yes, I believe I have managed to show the art element tone/perspective in my artwork. I
show tone through the different types of colours I use using the same colour to create depth
which sets the tone.

4. What perspective drawing technique did you incorporate (use) into your artwork? Why? Are
you happy with this?
I used a lot of drawing techniques such as line, shadow, blending, tonal sketching and
crosshatching. I incorporate these techniques since it helped create a more realistic type of
artwork. I am happy with it since it felt as if you were there.
5. What medium did you choose to use? Are you happy with the outcome? Why?
I used Water colour paper, a 2b pencil and cotton tips. I used watercolour paper since it’s a
sturdier paper and a better paper for sketching in general. I used the 2b pencil since the tip
allowed be to have more control on the thickness of each line. I used cotton tips to help
blend the pencil together. I am very happy with the outcome since it really made the
buildings and street stand out.

6. How did your drafts and experimentation help you to complete your final drawing? Why?
The drafts and experimentation helped me complete my final drawing since it allowed me to
gain the skills in which I used in the final artwork piece.

7. Identify your weakness and strength

My weaknesses are shading, and my strengths are drawing straight lines and showing the
perspective.

8. What are you going to do for artwork 2, remember in artwork 2 you need to take screen
shot of artwork one and place it in any program and try to change artwork?

For artwork 2 I want to either make it more realistic or more abstract. I will take a picture of
my artwork 1 and use it as my artwork 2.
9. Explain which program you will be using? what you will add
For artwork 2 I will be using the program photoshop since it allows more variety of tools
allowing more creativity. I will be adding shape and colour, Defining the lines and shapes and
fixing the spacing between objects.

10. How can advancements in technology influence art making techniques?

Advancements in technology create more opportunities for artist to showcase their artworks
as well as making creating artwork less time consuming and easier however, it takes out the
significance of traditional art like painting and sketching.
