Preparation
A. Greetings
“Good morning class…” (All of the students)
“Good morning Ma’am…”
“Alright class, is everybody present this (Student will tell who is absent for the day)
morning?”
(Checking the attendance)
“So, how’s your day? Is it good so far?” “It was great Ma’am!”
Motivation
A. Present a riddle to the class
“I am full of holes; I can hold water. What am I? (Students try to guess the answer)
Can you guess what is it?”
B. Discussion

Practice
“Try to guess the answers of these given riddles. (Students share and explain their guesses)
(the given riddles are written on a manila paper)
Riddle: I follow you all the time and copy your
every move, but you can’t touch me or catch me.
What am I?” (Student raise their hand)
“Is that shadow Ma’am?”
“Yes, very good. Nice guess. Okay try another
one.
Riddle: Three eyes have I, all in a row; when the (Student raise their hand)
red one opens, all freeze like the snow.” “Traffic light Ma’am”
V. Evaluation
“Try to recall some riddles that you remember or (Students shares the riddles that they know)
listen.”
“You listen to me and speak to me. If you are
tired of me, you can make me quiet. I connect
you to other people. What am I?
“Very good, does anyone can give another riddle (Another student shares the riddle they know)
that you recall?”
“Get a sheet of paper and try to answer the (Students prepare a sheet of paper)
following riddles on the book PAGE 34.” “Okay Ma’am.”
GUESS WHAT
1. What is iron on a horse but leather on a man?
2. I have a face and two hands, but no arms or
legs. What am I?
3. What can only be used when it’s broken?
4. At night, they come without being fetched. By
day they are lost without being stolen. What are
they?
5. You heard me before, yet you hear me again.
Then I die, ’till you call me again.
VI. Assignment
“I want you to find 10 some more riddles as “ Okay, Ma’am!”
either a poem or a set of questions. Write it on
your notebook.”
