DESCRIPTION

TOURISTA is the newest Interest-Based Organization under the Council of Student

Organizations of La Salle University. The organization is proposing an activity that is
technically called “Exploriana: A Three-Minute Travel Guide (open for all Lasallians),
which is basically a 3-minute-long video blog that features the participant's desired
tourist attraction. This activity ensured to follow health protocols to avoid getting
infected with the COVID19 Virus, and failing to follow is subject to immediate
disqualification. Specifically, the activity should be just a sit-down vlog featuring all the
sceneries and attractions that the participants’ desired, however to avoid bland and
boring discursion within the video, the participants should initiate to add details to the
video blog by inputting pictures, and clips of the Tourist Attraction in order to spice up
and add flavor to the piece. All things considered, this activity is a showcase of beautiful
sceneries and attractions in various places, featuring the beauty of Travel, Hospitality,
and Tourism Industry.

Please read carefully the following guidelines before you submit your entry for the

This Vlogging competition Exploriana: A Three-Minute Travel Guide is open to all

Bonafide students of La Salle University – Ozamiz City.

VLOG ENTRY AND SUBMISSION RULES

A. Number of Entries

A1. An individual participant or vlogger shall submit one (1) entry only. Entry may
be made by one (1) individual or maybe a collaboration of up to three (3) participants,
however the other participants should still be Bonafide students of La Salle University –
Ozamiz City, who shall collectively be treated as one (1) contestant.
B. Technical requirement of entry

B1. Each entry must be an original content of the contestant and must not infringed
copyright or defamation laws.

B2. The following content shall not be eligible as entries. Those, which have been
previously published, recorded or released and have been used in any competition in
any part of the world.

B3. The content must have a minimum video quality of 720p and a maximum of
1080p.

B4. Layout of the video blog must be strictly in Landscape form.

C. Content

C1. The language or dialect of the vlog must be in English or Tagalog.

C3. Themes of the vlog must revolve around the beautiful sceneries and attraction of
the participant’s desired place or area to be featured, history, its people, tradition,
culture, and resiliency to any calamities and/or pandemic.

C4. The vlog must not contain vulgar words or phrases.

D. Form and Length of Entries

D1. Vlog entries must not exceed three (3) minutes, including intro and extro.

D2. The Vlog may consist of any background music and must abide with the
copyright infringement law.
E. Submission of entries

E1. The deadline for the submission of entries is on October 29, 2021, 4:00 in the
afternoon.

F. Criteria for Screening and Judging

F1. All entries shall pass through a Screening Committee, which will choose the
three (3) winners.

F2. The general criteria for judging are as follows:

Content 40%
Creativity 25%
Communication Skills 20%
Originality 15%
Total 100%

G. Intellectual Property Rights

G1. The participant agrees that in the event that his/her/their entry is selected as
finalist, the TOURISTA Organization shall have the exclusive and unlimited right to the
video blog, with the full right and authority to use the content in any purpose, in any
manner and by any means, TOURISTA sole discretion. Specifically, the winner's entry
will have the honor to be the official promotional vlog entry for the TOURISTA
Organization celebration next year.

G2. The TOURISTA Organization have the right to use any or all of the entries
submitted, free of charge, in connection with the information dissemination on the
competition and to use any of the finalists’ entries for any purpose or usage on any of its
activities, without need for any remuneration to the contestant by the TOURISTA
Ogranization.
H. Finalists and Prizes

H1. Only the top three (3) participants who will win will be able to claim prizes (Load
or GCash). Prizes for the winners are as follows:

1st Prize -------- 250 pesos

2nd Prize -------- 150 pesos

3rd Prize -------- 100 pesos

NOTE: DUMMY ACCOUNTS WILL NOT BE COUNTED

I. Announcements of Winners

I1. All entries (3 winners) will be posted on the official Facebook page of TOURISTA
on November 5, 2021 3:00pm.

I2. Finalists and winners shall be notified by the TOURISTA Organization through
the contact information that they provided during the submission of entries.
Announcement of winners will also be done on the official Facebook page of TOURISTA
Organization on October 29, 2021, 4:00pm.

I4. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.

I5. Violation of any of these terms and conditions, or breach of the warranties
provided herein is subject for a two (2) point deduction in the overall final score.

I have read and aware of the rules of the Exploriana: A Three-Minute Travel Guide 2021
and I understand that by submitting my entry, it will become property of the TOURISTA
Organization.
