OVERVIEW

Parts of speech indicates how the word functions in meaning. There are eight (8) parts of speech in the

English language: Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adverb, Preposition, Conjunction, and Interjection. All of

which you will learn over a course of four days. In this lesson we will learn about the first two which

are Nouns and Pronouns.

There are different types of nouns which are: Common nouns, proper nouns, abstract nouns, singular

nouns, and plural nouns.

A pronoun is a word that is used in place of a noun.
