Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Let me introduce our team, we are from MTs Negeri 6 Bantul. My name is …., and
my friends (Sebutkan nama singkatnya aja)
In this wonderful chance we will present our research entitled
Zypha Hand Soap from Combination of Red Shoots Leaves (Syzygium oleina)
and Coral Plant (Jatropha multifida) Extracts

Introduction
Cleanliness is very important in this pandemic era. Especially hand hygiene,
because hands come into contact with many objects and we often touch the body
afterwards. This can spread disease, so it is important to wash your hands. Hand
washing is better than using hand sanitizer. Washing hands with liquid soap is more
effective in breaking the chain of disease. On the other hand, Indonesia is rich in
natural resources including red shoots and coral plants.
Coral plant contains alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids and saponins which are
thought to be able to inhibit bacterial growth so that the ethanol extract of the coral
plant has antibacterial power.Red shoots contain flavonoid active substances that
can be used as antibacterial.

Research Methodology
1. Pick the red shoots and coral plant leaves, wash them, then dry them in the sun to
dry.
2. Blend until it becomes a simplicia powder.
3. Extraction of simplicia using 70% alcohol with a ratio of 1:10 for 2x24 hours.
4. Strain the extract and then evaporate to remove the alcohol.
5. Mix the two extracts in a 1:1 ratio.
6. Put 3 grams of SLS into a beaker glass.
7. Pour the extract with three concentration variations, namely 10%, 20% and 30%.
8. Add 1 gram of table salt.
9. Enter the aquadest to a volume of 100 ml and stir until homogeneous.
10. Hand soap is ready to use.

Result and Discussion

Organoleptic test showed a reddish-brown color. The greater the
concentration of the extract, the darker the color will be. The form of soap is liquid
like water, not gel. The aroma is typical of red shoots and the stronger the aroma if
the concentration is greater. The pH test result is a pH of 4 to close to 3. The greater
the concentration of the extract, the more acidic the pH.
In the foam stability test, the results were obtained at a concentration of 10%
of the foam height extract from 8.5 cm to 7.2 cm, the 20% concentration of the foam
height extract from 8.5 cm to 7.3 cm and finally at a concentration of 30% of the
foam height extract. from 8.5 cm to 7.35 cm. This shows that the higher the extract
concentration, the more stable the foam.
Antibacterial testing was carried out on Escherichia coli. The result is that
hand washing soap has the best antibacterial activity at 9 hours. The inhibitory
power formed on soap with a 10% extract concentration is 20.32 mm, 20% extract
concentration is 22.27 mm and 30% extract concentration is 24.24 mm. The greater
the concentration of the extract, the better the antibacterial power.
CONCLUSION
Based on the tests carried out, the best hand soap is with a concentration of 30%
red shoot leaf extract and coral plant leaf.

That’s all presentation from out team. Thank you for your attention.
