Various Roles of a Teacher in the Society

Directions: Reflect on the discussed topics about the roles of teacher in the society.

Recall the many teachers you have met before entering the teaching
course. Then answer the following questions.

1. Write down your own developed concept of what a teacher is?

My Concept of What a Teacher is:
1. Good Teachers Are Strong Communicators
2. Good Teachers Listen As Well
3. Good Teachers Focus on Collaboration
4. Good Teachers Are Adaptable
5. Good Teachers Are Engaging
6. Good Teachers Show Empathy
7. Good Teachers Have Patience
8. Good Teachers Value Real-World Learning
9. Good Teachers Share Best Practices
10. Good Teachers Are Lifelong Learners
- These qualities help us focus on our own development of learning in order to
execute these within us, building a strong foundation of knowledge and real -
world experiences is key to becoming a good teacher. We can have a profound
impact on the lives of students, and in our acquisition of higher education is the
foundation for that work.

2. What personal qualities do you think a future teacher, like you, must cultivate
to become the best teacher he/she wants to be?
-The personal qualities I need to cultivate as a future educator is to acquire
advanced studies. This profession doesn’t stop when you graduate in your
bachelor’s degree, and yet, we are encouraged to seek higher educational
achievements and to take risk in learning. I would love to study more, to
meet the needs, the reach expectations and to extend a hand in those in
need of learning.
- Understand your learner’s differences and make them your life. Adaptability,
adjustments and loving them makes our heart reach the learnings they
needed. Be passionate and yet focus. Live fun with them in order to know
them better. Let them understand your goal and have them make their own
goal as well. Be a Good Teacher, being good is the first stage of being the
best, remarkable and unforgettable.

3. What activities or advocacy do you intend to carry out in the community when
you become a teacher? Why?

I would love to help them understand that they hav e the right to be educated,
as stated in Human Rights. Whenever the schools I may be assigned, with the
skills of the community have, I will coordinate them to form partnerships with
different groups and organizations to make sure students can access the
services they need as such, scholarships and future jobs.
