FADE IN:

1 EXT. COLLEGE CAR PARK – DAY TIME


A car pulls into an almost empty car park, rain is pouring,
grey skies and very depressing feeling is given off straight
away.
The car doors open, and two detectives get out, LOW and WIDE
ANGLED SHOTS of the car and the building that they are about
to enter. The shots will only show the lower part of the body
as to create suspense and make the viewer wonder who the
person is.
ESTABLISHING SHOT of the car park as they move from the car to
the building.
CUT TO:
2 INT. COLLEGE HALLWAY – DAY TIME
The two detectives are walking down the hallway, mixture of
FRONT, BACK and SIDE SHOTS. From different ANGLES.
Sounds of phones ringing, muffled talking in background to
create an office like atmosphere. Colour correction very grey
to keep the depressing feeling alive.
They walk down this hallway till they get the room they need
to get to, probably room 107.
CUT TO:
3 INT. A107 - DAY TIME
The two detectives enter 107, where their boss will be waiting
for them. The boss will be staring at the window watching the
rain. with his back toward the detective.
A SIDE SHOT of his face looking out the window and then a LOW
SHOT of the detectives looking at the boss.
MEDIUM SHOT of the boss turning around and telling the
detectives.
THE BOSS (CONT’D)
Ah I have been looking for you two, we caught a terrorist and
I want you two to lead this.
INTRODUCTION STARTS PLAYING - WITH MUSIC
CUT TO:
4 INT. INTERAGATION ROOM – DAY TIME
A CLOSE UP / EXTREME CLOSE UP of the bulb in the interrogation
room turning on.
HIGH ANGLE SHOT of a chess board, the person who has set up
the chess board clicks his fingers in front of the camera, to
show that there is someone there.
CLOSE UP SHOT of the person clicking the timer to not only
start the chess game but to start the interrogation as well.
Then over the shoulder shot of someone in the control room of
turning on a light switch.
CUT TO:
5 INT. INTERAGTION ROOM – DAY TIME
CLOSE UP SHOT of the detective's arm and the head and body of
the prisoner (the terrorist), the focus of the camera will go
from the detective's arm to the head and body of the prisoner.
DETECTIVE (O.S.)
How long?... How long have we got till it goes off?
CLOSE UP SHOT of the clock in the integration room. A ticking
sound effect to match the clock.
CLOSE UP SHOT of the prisoner's face with the head and body of
the detective behind her.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Can you hear me? How long have we got?
The DIALOGUE is muffled.
1ST PERSON PERSPECTIVE SHOT on the detective from the
prisoner's point of view. The focus is blurred just as the
DIALOGUE is muffled, until they both fade out together.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
CAN YOU HERE ME! HELLO!
PRISONER (CONT’D)
What?
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Ah good! at least you can hear me now.
WIDE SHOT of the whole table in the interactions including the
mirror in the background. CGI smoke coming from the table.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
How long have we got till it goes off?
The first white piece on the chess board moves. Probably a
pawn.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
What do you mean, I don't know what your talking about.
The first black piece on the chess board moves. Probably a
pawn as well.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Ok you want to play it like this. Do you?... Well I have no
intention of playing these games.
White chess piece moves.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
And I have no intention of talking or admitting to something
that I didn't do.
Black chess piece moves.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Right how do you explain this?!
Throws a file and from that a picture of the prisoner talking
to a hooded figure under a bridge.
CLOSE UP of the prisoners face, the screen fades into white
and then back out to the next scene.
FADE IN:
6 EXT. UNDERPASS - Day Time
Establishing shot of the park and the underpass. Its pouring
with rain. There are two people standing in the underpass. One
of them is hooded the other is the prisoner.
A time and date appears in the bottom left hand side of the
screen. Type writer font.
A PANNING MEDIUM SHOT of the underpass and the people in it.
OVER SHOULDER SHOT of the prisoner talking to the hooded
figure.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Have you got the location yet? I need to be quick, I may have
been followed.
HOODED FIGURE (CONT’D)
Calm down and stop making a scene!
The hooded figure then gets out a file from his pocket. CLOSE
UP SHOT of the pocket.
HOODED FIGURE (CONT’D)
This contains the location. Now just remember, you can't show
anyone this, not family, not friends not even other agents.
You got that yeah?
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Yeah I've got that, I won't let you down!
As the prisoner talks, his voice starts to become more robotic
like it is being recorded or on a microphone. A zoomed in shot
of someone taking photo's behind of them behind a tree.
The photographer is also wearing a hood over him to protect
his identity. CLOSE UP SHOT of the man taking photo's of the
prisoner.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Right well if that's it I'll be going then.
The hooded figure quickly grabs the prisoners arm.
HOODED FIGURE (CONT’D)
You must not fail us!
CLOSE UP SHOT of the both of them.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
I won't. Don't worry.
There if then a distanced shot of the two of them over the
bridge. It then freezes and the shot that has frozen FADES IN
and becomes the photo in the interrogation room.
CUT TO:
7 INT. INERAGTION ROOM - DAY TIME
A SHOT ZOOMING OUT of the photo on the table and back show the
whole table and the detective and prisoner.
DETECTIVE (CONT’D)
Right, explain this to me then. this is you isn't?
A white chess piece moves.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
That's just me and my friend smoking weed.
A black chess piece makes a risky move. Reluctantly.
DETECTIVE CONT’D)
Really?! That's all you were doing? I find that very hard to
believe.
A white chess piece has the chance to take an important black
piece but doesn't.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
I think we both know your lying.
The detective slams down another photo of the two in the
underpass Cleary showing the hooded figure.
SLOW ZOOM SHOT of the second photo.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
Don't lie to me! We've seen this before.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
What do you mean? He's just a friend wearing a hoodie.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
No he's not. I have seen that outfit he is wearing back in
2015.
CLOSE UP SHOT of the detective as he pulls a face as if he is
thinking of some bad memory's. As the CLOSE UP SHOT gets
closer the screen fades to white to show its a flash back.
FADE IN zoom in and out of older to younger Sid:
8 INT. INTERAGTION ROOM FROM THE PAST – DAY TIME
A wide angle shot of the interrogation room. However, in this
shot it looks older and there are no blacked-out windows,
there is another table with an ashtray on top of it.
This shows that it is a flash back by the changing of the room
and of the ashtray indoors which has not been legal since
2007.
An Over Shoulder Shot of the hooded figure, focusing on the
brand that is the on the hooded figure piece of clothing.
HOODED FIGURE (CONT’D)
What have I done, why am I here.
The Hooded Figure smugly throws his hood back over his head.
Low Angle pan from behind Shot showing the detective face and
body and the hooded figure’s back.
DETECTIVE (CONT’D)
What have you done?!
Detective throws a picture of a house down on the table.
DETECTIVE (CONT’D)
Do you know that house?!
HOODED FIGURE (CONT’D0
Yeah, that rat lives there.
FADE OUT:
9 INT. INTERAGATION ROOM - DAY TIME
WIDE ANGLE SHOT of the room as it SLOWLY ZOOMS OUT.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
So you see I know who I know the type of people you hang out
with.
CLOSE UP SHOT of the detective slamming and pointing at the
photo on the table of the underpass.
A HIGH ANGLE SHOT of the chess board to symbolise who's got
the upper hand in the interrogation
CLOSE UP SHOT of the clock in the interrogation room, with a
ticking sound effect.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
I think you must be thinking on someone else.
The prisoner looks at her watch. She looks at her watch
nervously.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Keeping you! Am I?
White chess piece moves.
The Prisoner says nothing, instead she repeatedly looks back
and forth between her watch and the clock in the room.
DETECTIVE (CONT’D)
What's wrong? Why do you keep doing that?!
Black chess piece moves.
Switch between a ZOOMING SHOT of the prisoner and a CLOSE UP
SHOT of the clock.
Then the boss bursts in through the door.
THE BOSS (CONT’D)
We have an update in the case, there is a body.
Pan from door to prisoner:
Prisoner looks anything but happy.
CUT TO:
10 INT. THE HOUSE WHERE THE MURDER HAPPNED - DAY TIME
Establishing shot of the house as the car pulls up to it. A
LOW ANGLE SHOT from the floor of the house as the detective
opens the door.
The door creeks open with the detective pushing it.
The detective's walk into the house.
They both start examining the body.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
What the hell happened here?
detective Sergeant (cont'd)
Not sure sir, shall I check the security footage?
CLOSE UP SHOT of the sergeants hand pointing to the computer
where the security footage is captured and stored.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
Yeah... Yeah why not. Let me know if you find anything useful.
The detective sergeant walks over to the computer.
DETECTIVE SERGEANT (0.S.)
Will do.
OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT of the detective checking the pockets
of the victim.
The detective finds a leather badge in on of the back pockets.
As the detective picks it out from the pocket a ZOOMING SHOT
of the leather badge will happen to make it clearer what the
leather badge is and says.
It will then be a close up shot of the badge, it will then
fade to the badge being on the interrogation table, with the
camera the same distance.
FADE IN:
11 INT. INTERAGATION ROOM - DAY TIME
ZOOMING OUT SHOT of the leather badge.
Sliding shot of the interrogation room.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
We found this on the body of the murder victim... You seen
this before haven't you.
White chess piece moves.
The prisoner pulls a funny look at the leather badge.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
So what if I have doesn't mean anything, not to you nor me.
Black chess piece moves.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Oh don't do this. This leather badge is the same design as the
one on your friends hoodie. You know... the one at the
underpass.
White chess piece moves.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Oh, is it... Popular brand, I guess.
Black chess piece moves.
WIDE ANGLE SHOT SLIDING of the table and the interrogation
room. The detective pull a brief case from under the table. A
HIGH ANGLE showing the brief case being put on the table.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
So we searched your house when we arrested you, can you
confidently say that we won't find any piece of clothing with
this symbol on it.
CLOSE UP SHOT of the leather badge and then the reaction of
the prisoner to it.
White chess piece moves. ZOOMING OUT SHOT of the chess board
to symbolise that detective is winning the mental games.
The prisoner starts to sweat and breathe quicker. But
continues to stay silent. The detective sees this and reacts.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
Well that's interesting... Lets see.
HIGH ANGLE of the detective opening the brief case formally.
Medium shot of the detective taking all the clothing items in
the brief case.
A mixture of CLOSE UP and MEDIUM SHOTS of the clothes being
taken out of the brief case.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)

What do we have here.


The detective looks through the clothes confident that he can
find the badge logo on.
A PANNING SHOT of the chess board as the white piece's circle
in on the black pieces.
The Detective gets all the clothes out and finds nothing. No
clothes with the logo on it.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Well... I don't understand how... This doesn't make sense.
CLOSE UP SHOT of the prisoner as she begins to smile. It then
goes to a CLOSE UP SHOT of the clock in the interrogation
room.
Then the detective sergeant comes in through the door.
DETECTIVE SERGEANT (CONT’D)
Sir there we have found something on the security footage!
CUT TO:
12 INT. 107 - DAY time
A LOW PANNING SHOT of the two detectives walking into 107, and
looking at a mac that has the security footage loaded on to
it.
Then an OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT of the two of them looking at
the security footage.
DETECTIVE SERGEANT (CONT’D)
This is what I have found on the footage for that day. Now
although the camera's don't cover the room where the murder
happened. However...

The footage shows the hooded man appearing at the door of the
victims house. The detective sergeant stopped talking as he
thinks that footage is self explanatory.
DETECTIVE SERGEANT (CONT’D)
There you go. Same guy, same symbol on the hoodie.
The footage shows the hooded man talking to someone at the
door.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Have we got audio for this?
DETECTIVE SERGEANT (CONT’D)
We have but it isn't very clear. I can't really tell what they
are saying.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
Well give it a try. They're maybe something we can use on it.
DETECTIVE SERGEANT
Right ok sir.
You can here typing sounds as it switches between the OVER
SHOLDER SHOT and MEDIUM SHOTS of the detectives reactions.
They then see the hooded figure go into the house and then can
barely hear what they are saying.
DETECTIVE SERGEANT (CONT’D)
I can't really make out what they are saying. It sounds like
the hooded figure is getting annoyed at the victim.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
Hang on I thought was the women getting annoyed at the hooded
figure.
DETECTIVE SERGEANT (CONT’D)
I think there are two voices, however I think they are both
women.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
That can't be right, we booked a male a few years back not a
female.
CUT TO:
13 INT. INTERAGATION ROOM - DAY TIME
HIGH ANGLE looking down the detective and prisoner. Then show
a MEDIUM SHOT from the side to show that they have moved a tv
in the interrogation room.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
So what happened to your friend, the one from the underpass.
The prisoner looks fed up from still being questioned.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Why am I still here, why do you even care. I don't know where
he is and even if I did me or him aren't part of his terrorist
thing, you think you have uncovered.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
We have found security footage...
PRISNOER (CONT’D)
So what if you have found security footage. Does it have me in
it. No because I wasn't there I was here. So quite wasting my
time I haven't done it you have no evidence to prove that I
have done anything have you?
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
No...
Black chess piece puts white in check.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
So you have nothing, you here that! Nothing! So I think there
is nothing else we need to talk about is there.
The prisoner gets from her seat and starts walking towards the
exit of the interrogation room.
Black piece makes move, PANNING shot of the whole chessboard
to see how the blacks have managed to comeback. Symbolises how
the prisoner has won the metal games.
However CLOSE UP SHOT of the detective looking smug as the
prisoner walks past. It then goes to a Medium shot of the side
to show that the detective has turned on the TV in the
interrogation room.
The detective then plays the security footage. The audio of
the sound plays as well as the footage.
Prisoner looks back at T.V.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Oh great more evidence that you can but you can’t use it
because it is shit.
MEDIUM SHOT of the detective still looking smug, with the
prisoner in the background.
DETECTIVE (CONT’D)
Oh no we can use it. You see we managed to make the audio
clearer.
The detective presses another button on the remote. Audio from
the TV becomes clearer and it appears to be a direct match
with the prisoners voice.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
There. That's your voice isn't it?
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Sounds like me. But that means nothing I was here all of
yesterday how could I have been here and there killing that
women.
The detective continues to have a smug look on his face. A
CLOSE UP SHOT, HIGH ANGLE looking down of the photos from the
murder that are placed out on the desk.
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
She wasn't murdered yesterday, she's been dead for at least
three days.
White pieces take the last important pieces from the black.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Wha... What?
DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
You heard me she's been dead for at least three days. And if
my memory serves me correctly, we brought you in just a few
hours later.
White chess piece start to get into position to check the
king. in SLOW MOTION.
Prisoner (cont’d)
But there’s no proof.
Black chess piece blocks a check from white.
Prisoner grabs door handle and the watch on her wrist
glistens.
Flashback:
Flashback of the tv showing the hooded figure knocking on the
door and we can see the watch.
Cut to:
Detective’s eyes widen.
White piece checks black.
Fade out:
Credits
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
And also we found this at your home, under some floor boards.
CLOSE UP SHOT of the hooded figure clothes being found under
the floorboards.
DETECTIVE(CONT'D)
You think that we can't match this logo to the one found in
your hou...
The prisoner puts her hand up to indicate she wants the
detective to be quiet.
PRISONER (CONT’D)
Okay. Okay I admit to it! That was me. No point in trying to
get out of it now.
Black king chess piece get knocked over to show giving up and
defeat.
Mixture of MEDUIM, WIDE, PANNING and ZOOMING SHOTS of the
interrogation room as the introduction music plays.
