Statistics
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a 3-unit course that is focused on the application of
statistics in research. It provides opportunity for the student to apply descriptive
statistics and other procedures that include sample size computation, reliability
testing, and hypothesis generation. It will also introduce to the students concepts on
inferential statistics.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
1. develop knowledge and understanding about the concepts and application of
statistics;
2. identify the use of statistics in specific phases of research process;
3. perform statistic test for descriptive statistics
4. generate and test hypothesis
5. identify appropriate inferential statistics for inferential research questions
6. appreciate importance of statistics
7. use technology in statistics
COURSE CONTENT:
1. Introduction: review of concepts
2. Statistics in research
