A network of tremendously dedicated, energetic
and generous people make it possible for Dress
for Success to fulfill its mission.

From the staff and board who build the

infrastructure, raise the funds needed to operate
and implement our programs to the volunteers
who make it possible for us to serve thousands of
women annually, our success is truly a team
effort.

We are grateful that we have so many devoted

supporters and look forward to introducing them
to each of you. Check back for more information
about the women, men and organizations who
make it possible for Dress for Success to empower
women globally.

Our Mission is to empower women to
achieve economic independence by a
network of support, professional attire and
development tools to help women thrive in
work and Dress for success
OUR VISION
Our vision is a world where women do not live in
poverty. We strive for a world where all women are
financially independent, are treated with dignity
and respect and are directly impacting their lives
and those of their families. We aspire to a world
that fully harnesses the power of women and
recognizes their role in economic sustainability.

 OUR PURPOSE
Dress for Success is part of a global movement for
change, empowering women to obtain safer and
better futures. Our purpose is to offer long-lasting
solutions that enable women to break the cycle of
poverty.
We provide each client with professional attire to
secure employment, but we are about much more
than simply a new outfit. Besides physically
equipping the client with apparel and accessories,
our programs furnish her with a confidence that
she carries forever and the knowledge that she can
actively define her life, the direction she takes and
what success means to her.
OUR BELIEFS
Every woman has the right to realize her full
potential and achieve financial independence in a
more egalitarian world. We believe that with the
proper education, tools and action this world is
possible.
We believe that achieving gender equality is
imperative to developing a sustainable and just
world for all, which is possible by acknowledging
the crucial role that women play in the world
economy.
We believe that by building up a woman’s agency
and knowledge, better synergies between gender
equality and economic sustainability are realized,
enabling her to generate a long-term impact in
both her private and public life.

 SUITING
We want women to feel their best while job
searching and in the first few weeks of
employment.

Once you've scheduled an interview, obtain a

referral to visit your local Dress for Success
boutique. Our volunteers will work with you to
help you choose an interview outfit and will also
provide guidance and support for the upcoming
interview.

OUR EMPOWERMENT
& DEVELOPMENT
Programme
Our “empowerment development program” is not a
one size fit. We spend time to understand each client;
personality, passion, talent and desired
employment/career.

Our development program – includes the following

areas: understanding today’s world of work; personality
assessment, emotional intelligence, communication
skills, interviewing –skill assessment, professional dress
code –all grounded on principle of “striving for
perfection in character”.

Margret
Margret is one of the beneficiaries
of Dress for Success. She completed
our development program with the
dream of turning either her hair
dressing or hospitality passion to a
career.

With six month of completing the

program she secure a placement
and now working for one of the
world’s successful hospitality
brand.

ADEKUNLE @D4SAfrica
Folashade
Adekunle Folashade was a lady with
low self esteem who had suffered
from depression before meeting
dress for success. She never had the
courage to walk up to anyone to
speak and she felt her voice was
lost.

After completing the program she

became bold and can speak to
people hearing her voice

JULIET @D4SAfrica
Shuaib Juliet Shuaib came across Dress for Success at the
lowest point in her life with two children to feed – a ten
years old degree certificate but no job opportunity thus
needed direction on how to secure a job.

"Although I wasn't selected for a job after the first

interview Dress for Success organized for me, I didn't
give up. I attended the sessions, took feedback from the
facilitators – which was often painful; evaluated what I
needed to do to get better – worked on it for months
then; went back for the same interview and I got a job –
my first paid employment after ten years of
graduation.”

Juliet moved from a lady who stood by the roadside

under scorching sun advertising herself for a job (using
a placard) to a confident and a purposeful lady.

FAITH @D4SAfrica
Jeremiah Faith Jeremiah recently completed the program with
aim of reaching the apex in her hospitality career. Prior
to meeting Dress for Success she had work with brands
without self.

Dress for success took her on a new journey where

she work on attaining her career goals. Few month
after completion she became a refined lady who now
work with Eko Atlantic. .
