Webinar on Learning Modalities

The Major components indicated in the webinar September 3, 2021 are the important features
of Basic Education – Learning Continuity Plan of the Department of Education. It explains the different
Learning Delivery Modalities in the context of Basic Education Learning - Continuity Plan or BE-LCP. Mr.
Jed I Bete, MaEd talked about how we continue our Education amidst of the pandemic. The DepEd
implemented Modular Distance Learning, Online Distance Learning, Blended Learning, and the Limited
face to face classes but this will still be a subject for discussions within DepEd, with partners and with
parents due to the continued counting of CoViD cases in the country.

The webinar experience means a lot to me as a future professional educator. The discussions
helped me to broaden my skills and also my understanding about the field that I have chosen. The
webinar is worth my time because it encourages me to learn a lessons amidst of pandemic. It was a
great opportunity for me to attend the webinar just by sitting at home without spending more time and
money.

I learned that because of this pandemic, a lot of students had a hard time on coping the lessons
that was taught online also for the students who enrolled in a Modular mode of Learning. We can’t
deny the fact that it is better to learn when we are learning in a Face-to-Face interaction with our
teachers but this pandemic should not be a hindrance for us to continue what we have started. During
the process, the webinars gave me confidence in continuing my course. It also made me realized that I
am capable to achieve what I want for myself in the future. Most of all, I realized that I must be thankful
for this opportunity that even in times of pandemic, my parents are still supporting me in my financial
needs. I should look for the positive side in everything.

I gave so much importance for the webinar that we had because this gave me an additional
confidence to become a future professional educator. The seminar might be a little bit boring because
we spent it online but it is so much worth it. I will always keep what I have learned in the webinar. I am
so thankful for our professors, to the speakers and to everyone who made the webinar effective as
possible.

Putting what I have learnt into practice is essential to understanding the meaning, and more
importantly create real growth and intelligence. It is important to really know the field that I am
entering. I learned that I should apply everything that I have learned in real life situations as future
educator. I will always concentrate on developing one skill that I am most passionate about, and then
add capabilities and information that will help me enhance your major skill. I will ensure that I am in the
finest and most remarkable at the one skill that I am passionate about.

Cognitive theory is the best guide for me in the process of applying what I have learned because
this theory guide gives me to have a clear understanding of how cognitive learning can positively impact
your life in a corporate environment and as future professionals, we become an active participant in
different processes through which you gain new knowledge and skills. Since Cognitive theory is an active
style of learning that focuses on helping us learn how to maximize our brain’s potential. It makes it
easier for us to connect new information with existing ideas hence deepening your memory and
retention capacity. This theory also explains the ability of the brain’s mental processes to absorb and
retain information through experience, senses, and thought is known as cognition.
