Contemporary Art Forms and Practices from the Regions represents various
cultures, arts, beliefs, and conventions of a certain place. It also informs us about things
to be proud of it consists of art, the creator, and the observer.
ACTIVITY 2
The attributes of an artist include being creative and having the notion of having
inspirations and turning them into art. Anyone can be a qualified artist, especially if they
have creativity and commitment to your own art allows you to have more ideas or
information on how to accomplish more.

1. Life finds its birth from nature sustained by the essential elements of wind, water,
earth and fire. In the cycle of life, in the seasons of winter, spring, summer and
fall, the interrelationship at play between nature and energy manifests how these
breathe life into the earth upon which man’s survival depends, defining what it
requires to keep its existence.
2. He wants to share the meaning of life and how man in earth survive depending
on season and essential elements.
3. Because the artist is originally born here in the Philippines.
4. Yes, it shows message how important is life in earth because if we don’t live
there’s nothing will happen in earth and how nature works.

1. The subject of my coffee painting is to represent the changes of environment
during Covid-19 virus in our community.

3. Based on my artwork created by coffee, I will define art by master piece because
it takes time to create and it takes a lot of effort by artist just like me.
4. Yes, because I put a lot of time and effort to create this coffee artwork.
5. I can use painting to create another artwork because it my hobby when I have a
lot of time.
6. It not widely used because they have different definition of artwork, they said
artwork is boring but for me it gives me strength when I’m down.

ENRICHMENT
1. Yes, because it has deep meaning about the culture of Philippines. It shows how
people in the Philippines work together.
2. “Bayanihan” means “being a bayan” and thus refer to a spirit of communal unity
and cooperation. Bayanihan has been a favorite subject of many artists. The
picture above is from a mural by Filipino National Artist Carlos "Botong"
Francisco, commissioned in 1962 by UNILAB founder Jose Y.
3. I like the artwork because it shows our culture in our community.
4. The value of artwork on me is it gives me peace of mind and it helps my creativity
grow. To the youth, it gave them idea how artwork help to reduce the stress in
their life. In our society, it helps them to know what the importance of the artwork
in the society.
REFLECTION
1. I can use arts in my daily life by stress reliver because it gives me peace of mind
when I paint the thing in my mind. It helps me to express my feelings.
2. Yes, because Lord put a lot of effort to create me or us people. He do a lot of
work to create us so be thankful in your life and don’t waste the opportunity Lord
gave you because we only live ones.
