To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Natalie Berry.
Natalie is a clinical intern in my first grade inclusion classroom at Middle Road Elementary
School. I have been pleased to see Natalie show such growth over the past four months. She has
gone from being a university student to a young professional.
Natalie is a driven, organized teacher who develops strong relationships with her
students. I find her to be dependable, reflective, and conscientious in her approach to children.
Natalie has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages, especially children. Her ability to
connect with her students and her talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced
topics, are both truly superior. The children are responsive to her gentle nature, sensitivity, and
positive energy. She also has excellent written and verbal communication skills with both parents
and teachers.
During Natalie’s time student teaching, she has had the opportunity to work with students
with disabilities. In our first grade inclusion classroom, Natalie modifies lessons, works with
parents, and consults IEP’s. She conducts instructional activities, documents student behaviors
and actions, develops differentiated multiple modal assessments, and reinforces positive student
behaviors to encourage development. Natalie has also attended IEP meetings and meetings with
our Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant. I believe this experience broadened her teaching
practice and strengthened her teaching abilities.

As a Clinical Intern at Middle Road, Natalie collaborated with the other student teachers
to create and organize a Legacy Project to support students’ Social Emotional Learning. Natalie
also assisted in parent/teacher conferences and attended Professional Development Meetings
provided by the Hazlet Township School District. Natalie is hard working, self-motivated, and
has exceptional organizational skills.
I am confident that Natalie would contribute effectively to any school, and I would
recommend her for any available teaching position. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

Madelyn Arecchi
