The first represents half the


length of your catenary curve in inches. The second represents the maximum
cut desired at the middle of the curve. For example: If you have a curve 5 feet
long, then half the curve is 30 inches long (1st number). And, you want to
deflect the curve 3/4" per foot of length, then the maximum cut is 5' x 3/4 =
3.75" (2nd number). Enter these values and start in the center of the curve. The
"X" is the distance along the ridgeline (or edge) from the center of the curve.
The "Y" is the offset to mark from the straight ridgeline (or edge). All
measurements are to 1/16th of an inch.
