For Alfil millers for both mills A & B and motor vehicles for the
month of October 2020

The maintenance team is pleased to present the attached Monthly report. Included is a detailed
report of operation and maintenance of Mill B and motor vehicle for the month of October. The
maintenance team welcomes any comments or questions on this report.

Executive Summary
During last month (October), we experienced some break downs on elevator hoppers, main
separator flap, scourer screens and aspiration fan bearing for aspirator and all these were
rectified. We also carried out prevent maintenance in both mills. On motor vehicle side, we
have carried out both preventive among which was servicing of brake system & and breakdown
maintenance on several vehicles.
Preventive maintenance done at Mill A & B respectively
We carried out daily, weekly and monthly prevent maintenance on mill B during the last month
(October), as follows;

1. Daily maintenance included blowing of mill B, draining of condensed vapor from

compressor and daily inspection of mill equipments during production to identify and
rectify any fault before intensification.
2. Weekly maintenance done in October includes;
 Cleaning of magnets in both mills
 Cleaning of air filters on blowers
 Cleaning of inspection glasses for rollers since these are mainly affected by
moisture for both Mills A and B
 Cleaning dampening machine to remove rotten grain
 Blowing of low pressure fans inside mill B to avoid excessive vibrations that may
damage electric motor bearings
 Cleaning of inspection glasses for rollers since these are mainly affected by
moisture.
 Tightening of loose bolts on all equipments respectively such as vibrating motors
 Cleaning of machines with rags, and blowing of entire mills
 Maintaining and repair of sewing machines

3. Other maintenance work done last month includes;
 Sealing of water leakages and cleaning gutters on all roof tops of production
facility
 We installed two new scouring screens on their respective frames and installed
back on scouring machine.

 Last month we replaced broken cups on bucket elevators, the metallic cups were
replaced by plastic ones.

 We also replaced faulty bearings from aspirator electric motor fan

 We also fabricated new flap for the separator in Mill B and 25kg bag grippers

PERSONNEL

The maintenance team includes one motor vehicle & one maintenance mechanic, one welder,
two technical helpers and turn men for motor vehicles. The one technical helper also works in
production shift changeovers as well. The team work hand in hand to deliver precise results.
