Details
1. Procurement of Handset

i. An employee should purchase any model of Volte handset ONLY from Reliance Digital offline an online
store or My JIO stores.

ii. In the event an employee opts for a handset of a higher value, reimbursement shall be only up to the
eligible amount mentioned in the policy.

iii. The employee shall claim reimbursement of the handset through RConnect and support the claim with
the original invoice / receipt and upload the same in RConnect.

iv. Once an employee opts for a model, the same shall be retained by him/her for a minimum period
of 3 years from the date of reimbursement.

v. An employee shall be once again eligible to apply for a new handset (within the then prevailing limits)
six months before completion of 3 years’ timeline However, the handset amount will be reimbursed
only post 3 years from the date of reimbursement.

vi. Employees don’t have to deposit their old handset with the company on purchase of new handset.

2. Insurance of Mobile Handsets


i. The Company shall not be responsible for insuring the handsets reimbursed to employees. Any loss on
account of theft, total damage, etc., shall have to be borne by the employee concerned. Towards this,
employees are advised to get their handsets insured on their own account.

ii. Under exceptional circumstance, in the event the handset is damaged during an accident while
on duty, the company may consider reimbursement of the cost of handset.

3. SIM Card
i. Employee who requires a SIM card/ wish to transfer personal connection to corporate connection shall
have to make an application through RCONNECT and have the same approved by his L1.

ii. The company has tied up with a service provider to provide SIM cards to all eligible employees. The
service provider shall have their representative available at all major office locations. They shall be
responsible for arranging the delivery of SIM Card and activation of the same.
iii. Wherever on-site representation is not possible, the employees can connect with their respective State
Admin team for the SIM cards.
iv. Additional services like STD/ISD/GPRS/Data etc. shall be provided based on requirement of the job
with approval from the HOD & Business Head.
v. Company shall make the payment only for those numbers which are Certified by the employees.

4. Separation

1. In the event of resignation / retirement / any other exit from services, the employee shall be required to
refund to the Company, a part of mobile handset amount reimbursed as below:

Separation Period Refund Quantum

Within 12 months from the date of reimbursement 100% of amount reimbursed

After the 12 months but before the completion of 24


60% of the amount reimbursed
months from date of reimbursement

After the 24 months but before completion of 36


30% of the amount reimbursed
month from the date of reimbursement

After 36 months from the date of reimbursement and


onwards NIL

2. At the time of final settlement, in addition to the quantum of refund for the handset, Company shall
also recover the outstanding amount beyond the mobile usage limit – not certified by the separated
employee.
3. In case of the unfortunate demise of an employee the applicable refund quantum towards the cost
of the handset reimbursed, shall be waived off.
