We use the present continous to talk about actions that are in progress at the moment:
For questions, we use this structure: Verb to be + Subject + verb + ing + complement

We use the past continous to talk about actions that were in progress sometime in the past:
For affirmative sentences, we use this structure: Subject + past verb to be + verb + ing +
complement
For negative sentences, we use this structure: Subject + past verb to be + not +verb + ing

For questions, we use this structure: Past Verb to be + Subject + verb + ing + complement

Remember: Was is for I, He, She and It. Were is for You, We and They
To make sentences that talk about the future, you can use either "will" or "going to":
Will:
For affirmative sentences, we use this structure: Subject + will+ verb + complement
For negative sentences, we use this structure: Subject + won't + verb + complement
Going to:
For affirmative sentences, we use this structure: Subject + verb to be + going to + verb +
complement
For negative sentences, we use this structure: Subject + verb to be + not + going to + verb +
complement
For questions, we use this structure: Verb to be + Subject + going to + verb + complement + ?
Examples:
He is going to Caracas next week
We are not going to play with the band
Am I going to travel to Europe?
You can answer a question with "will" using "going to" and viceversa
Will you visit your mother? - Yes, I am going to visit my mother tomorrow
Are you going to play baseball? - No, I won't play baseball
