Bố cục bài thi Viết Vstep Writing

- Thời gian: 60 phút

- Bài thi Viết Vstep Writing bao gồm 2 phần: Viết thư (Viết tương tác) và Viết
luận (Viết sản sinh) nhằm đánh giá khả năng giao tiếp của thí sinh bằng văn bản.
Bài thi nhằm đánh giá khả năng của thí sinh từ bậc 3 đến 5 theo khung năng lực
ngoại ngữ 6 bậc dành cho Việt Nam.

Bài 1 (20 phút): Viết một bức thư/ thư điện tử có độ dài khoảng 120 từ.

Bài 2 (40 phút): Thí sinh viết một bài luận khoảng 250 từ về một chủ đề cho sẵn,
sử dụng lí do và ví dụ cụ thể để minh họa cho các lập luận.

Tiêu chí chấm viết VSTEP writing 01 - Task Fulfillment:

Bài viết của bạn cần trả lời được hết các yêu cầu của đề bài cụ thể là bao gồm tất
cả các ý chính.

Ví dụ với đề bài là “Discuss the effects of unemployment and suggest possible


solutions" thì trong phần mở bài bạn đã phải nêu rõ rằng trong phần bài luận bạn
sẽ trình bày 2 mặt chính là hậu quả và giải pháp của nạn thất nghiệp. Trong phần
thân bài, bạn không nên chỉ viết về hậu quả của thất nghiệp mà còn phải nêu ra
các giải pháp nữa.

Tiêu chí viết VSTEP writing 02 - Organizition:

Tiêu chí này chấm điểm ở bố cục bài viết Vstep hay chính là việc phân chia
đoạn. Ngoài ra, các câu và các đoạn trong bài viết có liên kết chặt chẽ với nhau
hay không.

Ví dụ: Bài viết thuộc thể loại discussion nêu ưu nhược điểm của một vấn đề.
Các bạn mở đầu đoạn 01 phần thân bài bằng cụm từ on the one hand (một mặt)
sau đó nêu lợi ích của Internet. Với mỗi lợi ích nêu ra, bạn lại sử dụng các từ nối
firstly, secondly, finally... Sang đoạn 2, bạn viết on the other hand (mặt khác) rồi
nêu nhược điểm của Internet.Như vậy, các câu trong đoạn và các đoạn với nhau
đều được kết nối một cách chặt chẽ.

Tiêu chí viết VSTEP writing 03 - Vocabulary:

Tiêu chí về từ vựng được đánh giá qua việc bạn có sử dụng đa dạng các từ vựng
hoặc cụm từ (collocation) hay không.Như vậy, để đạt được điểm cao bạn cần
phải trau dồi nâng cao vốn từ vựng.Trong bài viết Vstep writing, bạn nên sử
dụng những từ đông nghĩa để tránh lặp từ và dùng nhiều các cụm từ cấu trúc.Bài

viết cũng phải viết đủ số chữ yêu cầu (250 từ).Bạn cũng nên dành thời gian kiểm
tra lỗi chính tả sau khi hoàn thành bài viết.

Tiêu chí viết VSTEP writing 04 - Grammar:

Trong bài viết Vstep writing, thay vì chỉ sử dụng các câu đơn, việc sử dụng các
câu phức sẽ khiến bài viết của bạn trở nên chuyên nghiệp hơn. Hạn chế các lỗi
sai về mặt ngữ pháp như về mạo từ “a, an, the”, giới từ...; áp dụng đúng các cấu
trúc ngữ pháp; dấu chấm câu cũng rất quan trọng.

Bốn tiêu chí trên có tầm quan trọng như nhau. Nếu như thiếu một yếu tố trong
bài viết của bạn, đồng nghĩa với việc bạn sẽ bị mất đi ¼ số điểm của bài viết

TỔNG QUAN VỀ WRITING PART 1

Task 1 chỉ yêu cầu viết một lá thư hay một email 120 từ trong vòng 20 phút,
tưởng chừng dễ đàng bình thường nhưng lại quan trọng lắm nhé! Đây là cơ hội
để các bạn “kiếm” điểm số vì đúng như yêu cầu của nó, bạn không cần nghĩ và
viết quá nhiều, không tốn nhiều thời gian như viết bài luận. Chỉ cần chú ý một
chút là bạn có thể ăn điểm ngay!

Vậy làm thế nào để hoàn thành task 1 với kết quả tốt nhất?Muốn viết được một
lá thư hay và đúng thì trước hết phải nắm được cấu trúc của một bức thư đã!

Một bức thư trong bài thi VSTEP gồm có bốn phần: mở, thân (nội dung), kết
luận và kết thư.

1. Mở bài (Opening)

Đây là phần đầu tiên của một bức thư, trả lời cho câu hỏi WHO – viết cho ai.

Do yêu cầu của đề thi VSTEP, phần mở thư trong bài viết của các bạn sẽ chỉ bao
gồm lời chào (salutation). Và phần mở đầu thư thường là “Dear + tên người
nhận,”

Ví dụ: Dear Shally,

Dear Mr. Brown,

Dear Sir/ madam,

2. Thân bài (Body)

Đây là phần chính của bức thư, mục đích chính thường là trả lời cho câu hỏi
WHY – tại sao viết thư. Tùy vào yêu cầu đề bài mà nội dung thư có thể trả lời
cho nhiều câu hỏi khác nhau. Ví dụ với một lá thư mời dự tiệc thì người viết cần
làm rõ WHY (Tại sao mình lại viết thư? – viết để mời bạn dự tiệc), WHAT (Bữa
tiệc đó là tiệc gì, nhân dịp gì?– tiệc tân gia), WHEN – WHERE (Bữa tiệc được
tổ chức khi nào, ở đâu?), WHAT TO ASK (Bạn muốn yêu cầu/nhờ vả gì?– mời
đến tham dự, nhờ đến sớm giúp).

I am writing to invite you to my house-warming party. Jack and I moved to our


new house on Ba Trieu Street two weeks ago and after settling ourselves, we
decided to hold a party for friends and relatives to share our joy. The party will
take place at 07:30 pm, July 16th at 167 Ba Trieu Street, Hanoi. Would you
please spare your time to come and join us? As there will be quite many guests
that day, can you come a bit earlier at about 06:00 pm and help me prepare for
the party if it is convenient for you?

3. Kết bài/ Hứa hẹn

Ở phần này, người viết thường nhắn nhủ người nhận về những thông tin bên
ngoài nội dung thư như đề nghị giúp đỡ nếu cần thiết, mong sớm nhận tin…

Ví dụ: Please let me know if you can manage your time. I am looking forward to
hearing from you soon.

4, Kết thư (Closing)

Trong đề thi VSTEP, bức thư của bạn sẽ được kết thúc bằng phần kết luận
(complimentary close).
