Therefore, to continue the learning process and at the same time prevent the spread of the
COVID-19 outbreak, effective learning must be carried out as discussed, one of which is
using online learning methods.
 THE IMPORTANCE OF IMPLEMENTING EFFECTIVE LEARNING
DURING A PANDEMIC

Learning is a process of interaction between students and teachers/lecturers and with learning
resources that can help each students to learn. After the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak in the world,
the education system began to look for an innovation for the process of teaching and learning activities that
made each institution required to provide the latest innovations to form a veritably effective learning
process. Effective learning is essential leraning because it makes it easier for students to learn something
worthwhile, even less at this time of the pandemic, many students are still struggle with learning. The
changes in the study system are suddenly and radically different from before making many that are not
fully prepared to do the learning. Effective learning is vital in an pandemic era like this one, because
learning in the pandemic era is very different from learning before the pandemic. To maximize students in
easy learning, effective learning must be quickly applied, otherwise this will influence the learning process
of the students. We can see how the era of the pandemic has affected life in today's, one of which is a
radically altered changes in the learning process that requires more effective methods of learning in order
for each student to have a good study.
According to SP. Siagian[ CITATION THa00 \l 1057 ] , the reach of various targets that are
determined on time by use of certain resources that have been allocated to perform certain activities is
called effectively. According to Wragg in the [ CITATION Ahm13 \l 1057 ], effective learning is learning
that makes it easy for students to learn something useful, such as facts, skills, values, concepts, and how to
live in harmony with others, or get the desired learning result. One of the effective learnings that can be
done and made the right choice during a era pandemic like this is online learning which can make it easier
for every student to be able to communicate and deliver material and receive assignments. According to
[ CITATION Sya20 \l 1057 ] , the way to learn that can be a solution when remote learning is applied as a
result of a natural disaster is online learning, as in the current of the era pandemic when government
establishes social distancing policies to limit interactions between humans and avoid people from crowds
in order to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus. According to experts, there are several learning
methods that are suitable during this pandemic, namely Project Based Learning, Online Method, Offline
Method, Home Visit Method, Integrated Curriculum, and Blended Learning. From some of these methods
we can determine how to learn or what latest learning methods we can apply during this pandemic to make
it easier for every student to communicate, get materials, receive and send assignments, etc. The existence
of effective learning like this can make each student more interested in learning and can help make it easier
for each student, especially in this pandemic era that makes each activity must be minimized.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on various sectors of life, including the education
sector where the learning process has drastically changed. Therefore, to continue the learning process and
at the same time prevent the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, effective learning must be carried out as
discussed, one of which is using online learning methods. Effective learning like this will continue to be
carried out considering that the COVID-19 outbreak has not yet been completed and also to help minimize
the spread of COVID-19. Distancing learning will be more effective if it uses information and
communication technology to improve the way learn in this pandemic era.. So that this will also produce
new habits in the learning process in the future, which will make it easier for each student to take part in
learning if suddenly the next pandemic occurs or if distance learning is re-applied in the present to the
future.
