SIMPLE PAST OF THE VERB ‘TO BE’

The verb ‘TO BE’ doesn’t need the auxiliaries.

It is irregular. Look:
AFFERMATIVE NEGATIVE INTERROGATIVE
I was I was not(wasn’t) Was I?
You were You were not (weren’t) Were you?
He, She,It was He, She, It wasn’t Was he,she,it?

We were We weren’t Were we?

You were You weren’t Were you?
They were They weren’t Were they?

I wasn’t here last Tuesday, and you? ‘ No, I wasn’t here too

SIMPLE PAST OF THE VERB’ ‘TO HAVE (GOT)’

The verb ‘to have (got)’ is irregular. Look the simple past of this verb:

AFFERMATIVE NEGATIVE INTERROGATIVE

I had (got) I hadn’t (got) Had I (got)?

You had (got) You hadn’t (got) Had you (got)?
He, She, It had (got) He, She, It hadn’t (got) Had he, she, it (got)?
We had (got) We hadn’t (got) Had we (got)?
You had (got) have You hadn’t (got) Had you (got)?
They had (got) They hadn’t (got) Had they (got)?

*Questo verbo si può trovare anche con l’ausiliare DID/DIDN’T, ovvero, si può costruire
come un verbo comune, ma in questo caso elimina il ‘got’
EX: I hadn’t got oppure I didn’t
