Thank you, Class! Whenever we want to describe

something or when we want to say the characteristics of
something, we absolutely use an adjective.

For examples:

- pretty
- smart
- delicious
- small - In linguistics, an adjective is a word that modifies a noun or
- red noun phrase or describes its referent.

Who can give me some more examples? Yes Aldrin?

Alyssa? Danne? Louie?

Very good! - kind

- tall
“In English, it is common to use more than one - smooth
adjective before a noun. When you use more than one - hard
adjective, you must put them in the right order,
according to their type. Let’s watch the video about
“The Order of Adjectives”.

(Play the video)

Do you understand the video?

Okay, very good!

To understand better the order of adjectives, let us look

in this summary chart.

(D) A B S T R A C T I O N

used in a series?
- to make the structure of sentence organize.

Okay, very good!

Also, in describing a noun there is always one or more

adjectives. When using one or more adjectives it should be in the
right order. This guides us in speaking and writing English
soundly. Here is an acronym for you to remember the correct
order of adjective: N- 0-S-A-S-C--M-P-O.”

D1. Generalization

“Now, class! Who can enumerate the appropriate order

of adjectives? Anyone?

- Number, opinion, size, age, shape, color, material, purpose,

origin
