This action was the response of the Filipinos for the terrible 1872 events, particularly the Cavite Mutiny and the GomBurZa Execution. It consists and submitted in 1880, by Rizal during the early days of the Propaganda. It disappears for a while, but later came again after 1880 when Marcelo Hilario del Pilar resume it. Rizal recognized that people's literature should be grounded in their history, acting as a store of social, psychological, and linguistic resources. He also said that in literature, writing is an exercise in order and that Filipinos must be active to be part in literature-writing and must exercise command over it. And he pointed out that it can only grow through an essential conversation with the rest of the world. How does it develop and/or promote nationalism to you? It develops and promote nationalism to me because Jose Rizal fight for the Philippines Nationalism. He wants to develop, to be civilized, to be an educated and also trained the Filipino. We all know that the Filipino are ignorant but because of Jose Rizal he tries to help the Philippines to be more aware about what happened in their country. Jose Rizal prepared and spent time to read some information and to improve his knowledge. He sacrifices and devoted his time to tell the truth. It also rises to our nationalism in economy, education and change of parishes. He wants to achieve the freedom “Jose Rizal” for all the Filipino. How does it develop and/or promote patriotism to you? It develops and promote patriotism to me because Jose Rizal show their love for his nation. It is the willingness for his beliefs and value for the Filipino. His does not violating or any revolution act to achieve the freedom of the Filipino but he tries to used his knowledge in writing some novels. Jose Rizal only wish is to be free from any issue and problems and be proud for being a Filipino.
How does it develop and/or promote volunteerism to you?
It develops and promote volunteerism to me because based on what Jose Rizal do for Philippines he volunteers his life in his very young age. He only wants and to serve for his country. In our generation lots of us are inspired to what he does for our country. That’s why, it is important to us to know what and why does he sacrifice his life and awakened us. For being freedom and equal are some of his desire for Filipino. He motivates lots of Filipino for being strong and how passionate he is by doing some novels.
