Implementation of co-curricular activities in schools should be


based on the principle of mass participation without any elements
of discrimination or coercion but focus on enhancing unity and
integration among students. (Circular Letter No. 17/2000 dated
November 16, 2000).

Co-curricular activities conducted in schools should be cross-


disciplinary, integrated and non-exclusive. Participation is open to
all students.

involvement and participation of members of the local
community. - {See Subsections 4.2.1 and Subsections 5.2 in the
Circular Bills Circular. 4/1985 KP. 8591-11 (32) entitled "School as a
Public Institution"}

Teachers and students are also permitted to participate in


activities such as camping,marching parades and courses
organized from time to time by government agencies or by
registered non-governmental organizations. ” (Circular Letter
No. 24/1998).
The Ministry of Education allows the school to organize

implementation of
educational visits during regular school hours. The ministry
also encourages the involvement of interested parents in
participating in these visits.  (Circular Letter No. 12/2000).

Schools should honor teachers and students or individuals (for


co-curricular

Schools provide opportunities for students to develop their


individual talents and potentials in the areas of co-curricular
activities that they are interested in at the international level.

Students should also be given the opportunity to showcase


their talents and excellence to the public.
