Lesson Plan in Arts

(Project Method)

I. Objectives
At the end of the 60 minutes discussion, the Kindergarten pupils are expected to
do the following with at least 80% level of accuracy:
a. Restate that the 3Rs are Reduce, Reuse and Recycle;
b. make Make up Kit art work using Can of sardines, brochure and construction
creatively;
c. show creativity in making their Make up Kit art work.

IV. Procedure
1. Preparation
"Good morning children! Are you ready for today's activity?"(Yes,teacher!)

a. Recall
Yesterday, you have learned about caring for our community. Now children who
can tell me what are the 3Rs that you can do to show your care to your community? (The
3Rs are Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) Very good! The 3Rs is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

b. Motivation

Children, I have here an art work. What can you say about this art work?
(Teacher, it has pictures of accessories on the art work)
Yes, there are pictures of accessories on the art work. What do you think the
base of this art work?
(Teacher, the base of the art work is Can of Sardines)
Yes, that's right! The base of the art work is Can of Sardines. Children do
you have Cans of Sardines at home?? (Yes teacher) What are you in the Cans of
Sardines? (We throw it everywhere teacher.) Do you think it is good to throw small
the Cans of Sardines on the surroundings? Why? (No teacher, because it makes our
surrounding dirty.)
Yes, it is not good to throw Cans of Sardines on the surrounding because it
makes our surroundings dirty.
What are we going to do to keep our surroundings clean? (We should not
throw everywhere any garbage teacher.)

2. Procedure
A. Purposing
Aside from keeping our surroundings clean, today we are going to work on a
Make up Kit art work to make useful things out of Can of Sardines the and you can
also give this to our mom as a Mother's Day gift.

B. Planning
 a. Materials
In making Make up Kits, our materials are Can of Sardines, brochure,
construction paper, scissors and glue.

b. Procedure
Before we are going to start making Mosaic art work, we should follow the
different procedure so that we can make a beautiful Make up Kit art work and we can
keep our working areas clean while making it.

o First, you are going to cut the construction paper according to the size of your
sardines' can. And paste it around the can.

o Second, cut the make up pictures on the old brochure.

o Third, paste the cut out make up pictures on the can. Make sure you will
paste it with a space on each cut out pictures.

o You may also add designs if you wish to enhance your art work.

c. Recall of Standards
Since we are going to use scissors, we should be careful in using it. Do not put it
on your mouth and on any part of the body. And we should also remembered we should
work quietly to avoid disturbing your classmates in making their art works. Understood
children? ( Yes, teacher ).
C. Executing
"Now I am going to distribute your materials and do your art work within 20
minutes. You may start now. "
D. Judging
Children are done with your art works now's? (Yes, teacher) Very good children!
Because you finish your art work on time let's give ourselves a Coca-Cola clap.
You can give your art work to your mom as a Mother's Day gift. Is that clear children?
(Yes, teacher!)
