C. Establishing the procedure of the
activities

 Prepare the materials needed. Lay


plastic sheets on the work area.
 Kneaded the clay, beat with wooden
planks, or roll out with rolling pin to
remove air bubbles or solid particles. The
finished sculpture will crack if the air and
solid particles are not removed.

 Be sure that it is clear. Is everyone
following?

 After that, Use the art print of bul-ul or


pictures of bul-ul from the book as your
guide while shaping the clay. Smoothen
the surface with a small amount of water.

 Last, Air-dry the sculpture in an


undisturbed area of your classroom. You
can apply color on your clay sculpture
once it has dried.

tinagtaggu, is a carved wooden figure
used to guard the rice crop by the
Ifugao (and their sub-tribe Kalanguya)
peoples of northern Luzon. The
sculptures are highly stylized
representations of ancestors and are
thought to gain power and wealth from
the presence of the ancestral spirit
