3. PREVENTIVE MEASURES AND HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
Put on appropriate PPE. Do not get in eyes or on skin or clothing. Do not breathe vapor
or mist. Keep in the original container or an approved alternative made from a
compatible material; keep tightly closed when not in use. Store and use away from heat,
sparks, open flame or any other ignition source. Use only non-sparking tools. Empty
containers retain product residue and can be hazardous. Do not reuse container.
4. EMERGENCY PROCEDURE
Accidental Release
Stop leak if without risk. Move containers from spill area. Use spark proof tools and
explosion-proof equipment. Dilute with water and mop if water soluble. Alternatively if water-
insoluble, absorb with an inert dry material and place in appropriate waste disposal container
and dispose of via licensed waste disposal contractor. Avoid dispersal of spilt material and
runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
Fire-Fighting Measure
Use dry chemical, CO2, water spray of foam as extinguishing media. Never use water jet
5. FIRST AID
Inhalation
Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, if breathing is difficult give artificial respiration or
oxygen by trained person. Get medical attention immediately. If unconscious, place in a
recovery position to get medical attention immediately. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar,
tie, belt or wristband.
Eye Contact
Check for and remove any contact lenses. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with
plenty of water at least 10 mins. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin Contact
Immediately flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 10 mins. Remove
contaminated clothes and shoes. Get medical attention immediately. In event of any complaints
or symptoms, avoid further exposure. Wash clothing before reuse.
Ingestion
Wash out mouth with water. Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position
comfortable for breathing. Give small quantities of water in material has been swallowed. Stop
if the person feels sick as vomiting may be dangerous. Do not induce vomiting unless directed
to do so by medical personnel. Get medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconcios person. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or wristband.
6. DISPOSAL
Disposal of this product, solutions and any-by products should at all times comply with the
requirements of environmental protection and waste disposal legislation and any regional
local authority requirement. Dispose of nan-recycled products via a licensed waste disposal
contractor. Waste should not be disposed of untreated to the sewer unless fully compliant
with the requirements of all authorities with jurisdiction.
