To begin, I'd want to offer some of my opinions and experiences as a tourism

student. I've learned a lot of useful experience during the past few months. The
Tourism and Hospitality major has given me new perspectives on the industry from
around the world. In addition, the course has provided me with the tools and
resources I need to have a successful career. Actually, I was an ABM student way
back in my senior high school days who fell in love with travel and wanted to try
something else to spice up my student life, so I enrolled in this course as a general
alternative. All throughout the learning process, I have gained a better understanding
of what motivates people to travel, what possibilities and risks exist in the tourism
industry, and how to plan a trip. This course, in particular, can help me a lot in my
dream job of being an owner of a travel start-up or maybe a Flight attendant
someday.

In overall, ma'am Mecah has taught me a lot about tourism and shown me
how to become an excellent tourist planner in a number of ways. During her online
classes, I gained some basic ideas concerning the tourism industry's need in terms
of tourists, travellers and guests. Furthermore, I am informed of several motivations
and reasons why people wish to travel, such as appealing destinations, studying
abroad, health reasons, visiting family or friends, and so on. Also, the idea of tourism
supply can assist me in understanding what an organization can do to meet the
demand for tourism. To elaborate, the topic of transportation is crucial in the tourism
industry. For tourists and travellers, different modes of transportation have varied
advantages and risks. Tourists can choose the best mode of transportation based on
their particular goals, such as saving time, money, or receiving high-quality service.
Then, when it comes to tourism attractions, I can see the value of events and certain
strategies for attracting and retaining visitors in the tourism industry.

Furthermore, the growth of tourism has far-reaching implications for society,

posing a significant trade-off. The good side of tourism development is that it can
provide new earning opportunities for citizens. They can accommodate travellers,
provide tours or guiding services, and provide accommodation. The money they
make from these activities typically often exceeds what they could make before,
allowing them to raise their living conditions. The improved infrastructure that
frequently accompanies with tourism developments also makes medical facilities
more accessible.

The primary motivation for pursuing a degree in hospitality, travel, and tourism
is to work in the industry. Hotels, airlines, destinations, attractions, transportation,
cruises, events, activity providers, shopping malls, tourist services, travel brokers,
tour operators, among other businesses combine to form a massive industry. It is a
field that is both practical and interesting. It is constantly expanding and requires an
increasing number of competent personnel and innovators each year. Also, by
studying in tourism, you will be placed in the heart of the service industry. You will
gain skills that can be used in a variety of fields. Because it is a service and human-
to-human industry, it will require hardworking and innovative employees in the future.
Additionally, many careers in the industry allow you to travel all the time. You'll
need to learn about tourism sites, attractions, and services, as well as maybe guide
travellers to unusual locations or conduct research in foreign countries. Travel
broadens your view on everything, and the tourism business offers a plethora of
travel opportunities. If you want to make a lot of money, tourism might not be the
ideal option. However, if you value other aspects of life such as having fun, meeting
new people, enjoying life, and doing what you enjoy, tourism and hospitality provide
multiple options. People studying and working in the field are typically relaxed and
outgoing.

Many economies around the world rely heavily on tourism to succeed.

Tourism benefits host destinations in a variety of ways. Tourism increases economic
revenue, produces thousands of employment, improves a country's infrastructure,
and fosters cultural interchange between outsiders and locals. Tourists and local
residents engage in cultural exchanges thanks to tourism. Foreigners benefit much
from tourism since it allows them to learn about a new culture, but it also provides
many chances for locals. It enables young entrepreneurs to launch innovative
products and services that would not be sustainable if they relied just on the local
population. Furthermore, residents reap the benefits of tourism that takes place in
their own country. Tourism's value is proved all over the world. There is no denying
the value of tourism, from the economic benefits it provides to host communities to
the delight it provides to travellers.

As a student, we will understand about sustainable tourism and how to reduce

the harmful effects of travel on the environment. With an increasing number of
people traveling each year, it's critical to comprehend the impact on cultures,
communities, and our world. Tourism has the potential to make the world a better
place by offering economic advantages to less developed areas and maintaining the
sustainability of tourist hotspots. Learn how you can help by creating jobs with a fair
wage and protecting the environment.

Lastly, as a tourism student, I recognized how vital it is for us to understand

these things because I consider this to be a stepping stone in my future. The things I
learnt in college will be with me for the rest of my life. I am so grateful also that we
had an instructor who is kind, considerate and very approachable, and that would be
you ma’am. Thank you for sharing your knowledge to us and truly I appreciate your
efforts and kindness you have shown. I hope that you have a great day ma’am.
Thank you po and God bless you always.
