B. The first video game was produced in 1958 and the name of the game was tennis for
two. From then on, Programmers started to work furiously on trying to make a video
game console that was available to the public when in 1972, the Magnavox Odyssey
came out to the public. Although the product was not considered a commercial
success, people kept working hard to get a good gaming console out there and in the
same year that the Magnavox Odyssey was made, Nolan Bushnell founded Atari.
Then after the video game crash of 1983, In 1985 a Japanese gaming company by the
name of Nintendo came out and the character Mario (Know as jump man at the time)
was born.

B. In the USA, cases are on the rise again due to the Delta variant of Covid. The virus
has shifted its focus from the elderly to the younger generation. Covid related deaths
in people age 18 to 29 have almost tripled in July and August. Studies have now
shown that vaccines aren’t as effective against the delta variant, but have helped in
protecting against being hospitalized.

B. The Gaza Strip has not only been damaged physically by the Israeli bombardment but
has also been damaged economically as a result. It was estimated that the Palestinian
government would have to spend between 345 to 485 million dollars for the complete
recovery of the Gaza Strip. Also, The Gaza Strip is one of the world’s most densely
 populated areas, with about two million people living in or around the area. Combine
this with the bombardment and now around 800,000 Palestinians do not have access
to clean water and only have electricity a few hours a day.

B. In Afghanistan right now, the UK are evacuating citizens of Afghanistan to safety,
away from the Taliban. The Taliban have taken over the country’s government and
have given a deadline for people to evacuate the country by the 31st of August. Since
the threat had been made, the UK had partnered up with the USA to help in the
evacuation of the people that were living in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, due to the
amount of time that they were given along with other factors. They are not going to
be able to save all of the people living in the country.

B. Sneakers in today’s world are super expensive with the average price of someone's
shoes being around 75 dollars. The main reason for the incline in the prices for shoes
is due to the demand for shoes, especially the more unique ones. People no longer
care so much about the story behind the shoes now over the look or history behind
them. They want something that looks good on their feet and will drop lots of money
on shoes to get their desired look.

B. Formula One cars these days have a maximum speed of 360 km/h or 223 mph and
can go around corners anywhere from 42 km/h or 30 mph to 340 km/h or 210 mph.
The way they are able to do this is through the aerodynamics of the cars. The
aerodynamics of the cars are designed in such a way that the cars can cut through the
air while still creating more than twice the amount of downforce the average car can.
This allows for fast turning without losing grip from the tires.

B. On August 14th, 2021 at 8:29 local time, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti and
devastated the people living on the island. The epicenter of the earthquake was 7.5
miles northeast Saint-Louis du Sud which meant that it was only about 78 miles west
of the capital, Port-au-Prince. Around 1,800 people were injured and at least 304 were
killed in the aftermath of the earthquake and the earthquake is going to have long
term side effects for the island.

B. Donda was a work in progress for Kanye for about 18 months. The album is named
after his mother Donda and is a tribute to her. More recently, Kanye has had listening
parties at stadiums in Atlanta and Chicago for his album and has made numerous
changes to the album over time. On August 29, Donda was finally released without
Kanye’s consent due to the beef between Kanye and Drake.

B. Turbochargers and Superchargers help boost the performance of cars by giving them
more horsepower and torque. They boost an engine from sucking in air and speeding
it up to bring into the engine so it creates more combustion. While they both do the
same thing, Turbochargers are more efficient because they use exhaust gas from the
engine to boost the car while a supercharger is belt driven so it has to take energy
from the engine to give more power to the car.

B. A VTEC in a car Allows for different rates of combustion within an engine. The best
way to think about it is an eco-friendly car to a sports car. When the car is in an “eco
 mode” only the middle lobes on a camshaft will push down the valves that air into the
crankshaft which causes less combustion to happen. In a “sport mode” all three lobes
(left, right, center) will push the valves down which will in turn allow for more air to
flow through the pistons for combustion.

B. Gaming has been responsible for influencing people to kill others before, but new
research shows that it could actually be quite useful for people. It has been proven
that gaming helps people increase their focus and allows them to have faster reaction
times compared to non-gamers. Also, it was noted that gamers were more likely to
help people in real life or in a simulated environment if they played games where the
characters in them worked together.

B. Kunimitsu Takahashi is labeled as the man to have created the sport of drifting and is
widely considered as the “Drift King” by many. He was originally a phenomenal
motorcyclist but after getting in a bad crash, he decided to switch to touring car
racing. Unlike the others in the touring car racing, he decided to drift through the
turns instead of doing a clean turn which allowed him to have more speed when
exiting the turns. This made drifting blow up everywhere and eventually, it was even
declared as its own sport with the introduction of Formula Drift.

B. DAW’s or digital audio software's are what you put sounds and recordings in so that
you can create an entire song. Some of the best DAW’s are Avid Pro Tools, Ableton
Live, and FL Studios. Avid Pro Tools is the most widely used software in the music
industry throughout the world for making music but is not too popular among home
producers. Ableton, although not as popular as Avid Pro Tools, is still a popular
DAW throughout the music industry. FL Studios is not widely used in the industry
but is the most popular DAW among home producers.

B. Intel and AMD processors have been in a big rivalry since day one when it comes to
who has the best CPU’s. The price difference between them is not much but intel
costs a bit more than the AMD processors overall. The AMD processors on the other
hand have better performance for less money. While Intel processors may be faster
than AMD processors, the AMD ones are able to handle more processes at once
which is crucial for performance.

B. Microsoft’s Windows 11 is a more secure and protected version of Windows.
Microsoft is prioritizing the security of the Windows platform over anything else and
because of that, you must have a newer CPU to use Windows 11. Along with this, the
latest version of Windows is also going to help with reducing the number of
blue/black screens of death that people get. For this new version, Microsoft has also
focused on memory management and CPU load management for a better experience
overall.

B. Chess can help people in numerous ways mentally. The biggest thing it can do is
allow you to see situations from different standpoints. Along with this, it can also
improve your memory and allow you to get into a “flow state” which is when your
brain is working at its peak performance level. It also makes you think more
creatively and helps you with building better planning skills. It has also been found
that chess can protect older people from getting dementia and it has been shown to
improve symptoms that correspond with ADHD.

Louisiana. The storm made landfall with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph and
tens of thousands of people having damage to their roofs and to their homes. Also,
thousands of people are flooded out of their homes, with some homes sitting in 6-
foot-deep water.

B. When Acoustic guitars were not loud enough to be heard over big bands, people
started looking for ways to make them louder. In 1928, the company Stromberg-
Voisinet created the first commercial electric guitar. After that Gibson, a widely
respected guitar company, made its first electric guitar not long after Stromberg-
Voisinet. From there, electric guitars began to evolve over the decades into what they
are known as today.

B. Jimi Hendrix was one of the top guitar players of his era and maybe the best guitar
player to ever live. Jimi Hendrix created his own style for himself and made it very
clear that he wasn’t playing around. He was highly creative and made music that
people had never heard before with how the way he combined the soulful, appetizing
rhythms of blues with the gritty, fuzzy, and warm tones of rock.

B. The Xbox vs PlayStation debate has been the debacle for the last decade. And with
the newest versions of both consoles coming out, many would argue that one is better
than the other. The Xbox One X series is an immensely powerful console while the
PlayStation 5 is slightly less powerful. Also, the Xbox is more user friendly compared
to the PlayStation 5 making it more popular among newer gamers.
