    Assignment 2 Requirements

    Assignment : Group Presentation and Case-based Learning


    (20% of the total marks of the course)
    Presentation topic : Working in groups of 3, students are required to:
     Apply the learnt play therapy techniques to interact with the
    target child and videotape a 20-minute session of the session.
     Prepare a set of appropriate therapeutical toys and set up a
    play area for a play-session in groups.

    - At least有2個⼩朋友 Students will make a 20-minute oral presentation focusing on:
     Analyzing the therapist’s reflections and interactions
    regarding to target child’s behaviours.
     Applying the learnt theories and principles in evaluating the
    interactions.
     Reflecting and providing constructive alternatives and
    suggestions on the play therapy techniques used.
     Participation in peer critique (will be graded).

    Marking criteria:
     Appropriateness of toys and playroom setting 20%
     Justification on the play therapy techniques applied 45%
     Participation in peer critique 15%
     Organization and fluency of the presentation 20%

    Paper A4 size

    Word number The total number of words should be printed at the end of the
    essay. The assignment will not be marked if it exceeds one-tenth
    of the word limit.

    Score adjustment In order to minimize the discrepancies of scores, the university


    retains the right to make score adjustments before submission to
    the Examination Board concerned for final approval.

    Originality NO marks will be given for plagiarized work. Always give


    references for quoted materials.

    Permission Students need to gain permission from the school and parents for
    videotaping child/children prior to the activity.

    Confidentiality Students must maintain child/children’s confidentiality at all times.


    The child in observations and summary reports must be referred
    by a pseudonym. Videos and observation notes must be kept
    safely without access by others. Materials collected for this
    activity must be used and discussed for the course purpose only.
