ASSESSMENT TOOLS USED

1. Direct Assessment Tools


 Assignments - All students are assigned with course related tasks during every course work
thrice and assessment will be done based on their performance. Marks are assigned depending
on their originality in solving/deriving the problems.

 Objective Test - Multiple Choice Questions are given to the students every semester for all
subjects.

 Internal Tests – Three Internal Tests are conducted every semester and the assessment will
be done based on their performance. Marks are allotted depending on their performance.

 End Semester Examination - Semester End examination is a metric for assessing whether
most of the POs are attained or not. Examination is more focused on attainment of course
outcomes and programme outcomes using a descriptive examination.

2. Indirect Assessment Tools

 Programme level statistics- At the end of every academic year annual report is developed
where the statistics of students who have participated in professional bodies/ student - chapters
/ workshops/ seminars/ conferences/ paper presentations /internships/ industrial visits, NSS
activities, Sports etc. is prepared. This statement is considered to indirectly assess the POs

 Course End Survey: Indirect assessment strategies may be easily implemented by embedding
students at the end-of-course evaluation form.

 Graduate / Exit Survey: At the time of graduation exit survey is obtained

 Alumni Survey: This survey is obtained from the alumni after two years of graduation

 Employer Survey: This survey is obtained for the employer after two years of graduation
