Group 5: Plastic Recycling
1. How did you stay in touch?
We and our intercultural peers stayed in touch with each
other through two ways.
● Through video conferencing platforms like zoom:
Along with a chance to interact with each other face-
to-face, we also came to know where the two
countries stand on the basis of health, specifically on
the area of COVID. We were talking from our
respective homes, while our counterparts from their
classrooms.
● Through the WhatsApp app: This was the platform we
used at the very beginning to introduce ourselves to
each other. This gave us an informal platform where
we could open up to each other more and focus on
the actual interaction.

 2. Video Conferences – How did you prepare the
videoconferences? What did you learn from them? What
went well/what could have gone better?
The preparation for the conference was fairly easy since the
scheduling of the same was already done by the teachers. As
for the preparation at our end, each one of our group members
came up with a question to ask our counterpart.
We learned many things during our conference, but there were
two highlights. For the first one, we learned how naturally and
calmly our Dutch friends answered. It could be seen that they
were without any masks that covered their true selves. This
also helped us loosen up a bit and made us feel as if we knew
each other earlier. The second was the way the EUMIND
project was carried out in their school. They had the
opportunity to choose a topic of their choice. Along with this, a
day of each week was dedicated for them to only work on the
same. We feel that this increased their interest for this project,
as it was something they felt passionate about and something
they got special time to do.
We felt that the conference went very smoothly and would not
change anything about it or add anything to it.
