solve problems you ought to with your research. Refrain from citing in the first
sentence. Don’t use other’s works without REPHRASING the sentences. You may
use quillbot paraphrasing tool.

Respondents and Sampling Procedure

State how many respondents you will have. By this time you need to state an estimate if
you are unsure of the number yet. For instance if your respondents are teachers, your table will
look like this.

Sample 1

The target respondents of this study will be the teachers of the aforementioned schools
teaching English subjects in the Junior and Senior High Schools. Total enumeration will be
targeted. The following matrix shows the teacher population of each school.

The target respondents of the study will be the Grade 6 pupils in private and public
schools, teachers, school heads and parents in the Northeastern part of the First
Congressional District of Cagayan. This will be conducted during the second semester of
SY 2020 – 2021.
Figure 3 and 4 show the frequency distribution of the respondents of the study. The

Data Gathering Procedure

Sample 1

A written permission will be secured from the Office of the Division Superintendent

through appropriate channels in order to obtain full cooperation from the respondents. The

researcher will then arrange appointments with the school heads of the teachers who will be

covered in the study. She will personally administer the questionnaires to elicit further reliable

data and additional information, subject to proper health protocols as provided by the IATF and

DOH. Informal interviews and brief observations will also be conducted to triangulate the

obtained data.

The data obtained will then be tallied in MS Excel and packaged for data analysis by the

assigned statistician. The statistical application to be used to analyze the data will be the SPSS

version 20.

Sample 2
The researcher will ask permission from the Schools Division Superintendent of the

Division of Cagayan to conduct the study. Upon approval, permission from the school

heads will be sought.

The respondents will be oriented in answering the questionnaire and that the pupils’

answers on the questionnaires do not have any effect on their grades and there will be no

wrong answers. Respondents will be encouraged to answer the questions accurately as

possible. To ensure an effective survey and retrieval, the researcher will personally

distribute and retrieve the questionnaires.

Casual interview or face to face interview will likewise be conducted to obtain

qualitative responses.

The grade level point average (GPA) of the first and second grading of School Year

2020-2021 will be obtained from the report cards or class adviser’s grading sheet with the

permission of their teachers and school heads.

The primary data gathering tool is a Likert-scale type of questionnaire designed to

identify the level of awareness of pupils, teachers, school heads and parents to the child

protection policy. Additional information and data will be obtained from books, internet,

issuances, and journals. The data gathered will be presented using tables, graphs, charts,

and texts. Inferential statistics will be used in the analysis and interpretation of data.

Data Gathering Tools

Sample 1

A questionnaire checklist with three-point Likert-scale was constructed by the

researcher based on various related literature and issuances with regard to the awareness of
the child protection policy. There were four types of questionnaires intended for the pupils,

teachers, school heads and parents.

The questionnaire contained three (3) parts. Part I was designed to categorize the

profile of the respondents; Part 2 determines the respondents’ exposure to multimedia; and

Part 3 included statements on the awareness of the respondents to the Child Protection

Policy.

The researcher administered the questionnaire personally. The respondents were

informed regarding the data to be collected, the information provided was treated with

strict confidentiality and were solely used for the purpose of the study.

Sample 2

Data Gathering Tools

A survey questionnaire will be the main instrument in obtaining data for the study. There

are two (2) parts of the questionnaire which individually solicit the following information:

Part I will elicit the profile of the teacher-respondents in terms of (A) Personal; (B)

Professional; and, (C) Occupational profiles.

Part II will elicit the perceptions of teachers towards the educational relevance of values

education in terms of: (A) Relevance of the content standards in EsP; (B) Insights towards the

present curriculum and instruction of EsP and other values-related subjects; and (C) Extent of

problems encountered in teaching values-related subjects.

The questionnaire combines supply-type and restricted choice items, multiple response

sets and Likert scales in quantifying data for the study. For the purpose of obtaining additional
data for further analysis and implication of the study, an open-ended question about “suggestion

to improve Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao curriculum” will also be included.

Statistical Treatment

Sample 1

Descriptive statistics such as frequency counts, percentage, mean and standard

deviation will be used to categorize and describe the data. Frequency tables will be

constructed. The data and information collected will be treated statistically. (You may end

until the highlighted portion muna. But for those who want to continue even after the

semester, you may refer to the sample below.)

To quantify the level of awareness of stakeholders to the CPP, the following scale of

interpretation will be utilized.

To determine the level of exposure of the respondents to multimedia, the following

index will be utilized.

Scale Number of Multimedia Used

Low 1-2
Medium 3-4
High 5-6
The academic performance of the pupils will be correlated with the profile variables

with the following corresponding descriptive values:

Outstanding 90 – 100

Very Satisfactory 85 – 89
Satisfactory 80 – 84
Fairly Satisfactory 75 – 79
Did Not Meet Expectations Below 75
The numerical and descriptive values will be lifted from DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2015

– Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K-12 Basic Education Program.
Sample 2

For the descriptive part of the study, frequencies, means, standard deviations, weighted

means and Likert scales will be used. Descriptive interpretation of weighted means for the item

using Likert scales are as follows.

Insights towards the Extent of problems

Scal Statistical Relevance of EsP
present EsP curriculum encountered in teaching
e Limits Content Standards
and instruction EsP
4 3.25 – 4.00 Very Important Strongly agree Severe Problem

3 2.50 – 3.24 Important Agree Major Problem

2 1.75 – 2.49 Somewhat Important Disagree Minor Problem

1 1.00 – 1.74 Not Important Strongly disagree Minimal / No Problem

T-test for independent samples and Analysis of Variance will be used to determine

significant differences between the perception of teachers towards the educational relevance of

values-related subjects when grouped according to selected variables.

Bivariate correlation analysis using Pearson r, Spearman rho and point biserial will be

employed, whichever is appropriate, to test hypothesis of relationships covered in this study. All

hypotheses will be tested at 0.05 level of significance.
