Performance tuning enters a new era


No system is so well-designed that it cannot be improved and at MAN Diesel & Turbo we constantly strive to
improve the combustion process. Our efforts to increase performance by incorporating automatic engine tun-
ing into our engine control system have resulted in concrete benefits in the form of reduced fuel consumption
and CO2 emissions. This gives operators the confidence that their engines are always running optimally and as
originally designed by the manufacturer.

Optimised engine performance


The conversion of energy inside an engine’s combustion chamber is the diesel engine’s most essential process
in terms of efficiency and availability. As a result, MAN Diesel & Turbo has developed an auto-tuning program
that automatically optimises and monitors engine combustion.
